When you get home from work, do you like to just chill and do nothing all evening, or do you prefer to enjoy life by doing things such as bike riding, exercise, jogging, etc. (anything active)??
Just curious. Thanks.

I think that people who abuse or kill animals are terrible and should definitely be punished to the fullest extent, but it feels like whenever we hear about innocent kids being killed or harmed, no one has much to say but "oh gosh that's horrible, hope that person gets what they deserve"....but you won't see herds of people or special interest groups (like PETA) make a huge deal to make sure justice is served?

and bash all of the christians and believers, but yet, you don't see the religous people come on here and bash the non-believers and atheist? Why is that?

I am not trying to be mean or start a fight, I just find it very curious and disturbing, that's all.

I'm asking 2 questions from a 2 different standpoints.

First, intentionally misleading people for the good of the religion.
For christians - Does the ends justify the means, or does it constitute bearing false witness? Will there be repercussions in the afterlife or rewards?
For non-christians - Should there be accountability in this life for it?

Next, unintentionally misleading people for the good of the religion.
For christians - Does lack of knowledge excuse it? Does it not matter since it's for the good of the religion? Again, rewards or repercussions in the afterlife?
For nonchristians - Should there be accountability in this life for it?

Please state if your christian or not too, if you don't mind.

Thanks in advance!

"Racism" is being screamed all over the country about the "Jena 6" but no one is giving a solution.
If the "solution" was to start with "you" are you willing to step up to the plate?
And do what?

Geez, that was the original charge and after investigation it was reduced to battery so why all the hostility? It is common for prosecutors to go for the max with any race and then reduce the charges after further investigation.

Do you people think they should get NOTHING for ganging up on this kid and beating him? So they were provoked, so what? Kids of all colors are provoked on a daily basis in HS but doesn't that give them the right to go get 5 of their buddies and retaliate.

I just don't get it. I was raised in the CITY of Atlanta and have been around integration since I was born. I went to an integrated elementary, middle and high school and have lots of friends of many races so I'm as far from Racist as you can get, but it still irks me when people feel they have to protest just to protest and get on TV.

I just don't get what they're protesting about. Nobody's going to jail for 60 years so let the kids do their probation and go home.

The jews had it way worse. black people can sue white people to get rice crispy treats ( i saw it on family guy) so can jews sue egyptians too? and im pretty sure those guys who explored amurica for the first time werent nice to the natives here and made them slaves, can they sue too?

I know, not really an R&S topic, but Ive come to know so many of you here, and I began to wonder what some of these avatars mean to their owners...

Like Suzanne - why the painting? Curious Compound - who is that in yours and why? Jack B - is that you?? Quella Bella - is that YOU (if so, youre the most attractive person on this site!)

I'll go first. Im sure most of you have heard and seen the "Leprechaun in the Ghetto"on YouTube. This guy just cracked me up - the goofly look on his face, and I can hear him says "Who seen dat Leprechaun - Say YEEEEAAH!!" So, it makes me laugh. And others. Thats why I have this as my avatar.

How about you?

I'm all for kicking out the mosques, but take the churches with them. Stop pretending you've forgotten how Christians started this war 1,000 years ago with the Crusades.

I have seen some comments about prayer to the Blessed Virgin, such as "when did Jesus tell us to pray to Mary", and other such simplistic observations. I wish to ask some questions to shed some light on your reasoning:
1. When did Jesus tell the Apostles to write the New Testament? He didn't, according to the Bible.
2. When did Jesus specifically say, "Just accept me as your personal Lord and Savior, and your salvation is guaranteed?" He didn't, according to the Bible.
3. When did Jesus say the Bible, not the Church, was the ultimate authority? He didn't, according to the Bible.

My point is that there are Biblical "principals" on which Christian teachings are based. Not everything is “specifically” stated in black and white in the Scriptures. For example, the word "Trinity" is not in the Bible but most Christians believe in the Trinity.

So, what about prayer to Mary and the saints in heaven?
