Truthfully, Out of all the people I admire, my inspiration would be my friends. They are the ones who helped me get to where I am.
But of course there's always gonna be the hot guitarist and that especially hot magician.....; )

Meows! =^-^=

and that is why such things as birthday, christmas etc are not celebrated. Your publications state that something that has its beginnings in paganism cannot be from God, then or at any time. So, I ask, "Have you ever considered your own beginnings?"
From all that is truly known of your beginnings, I would have to submit that the WBTS is of pagan beginings and therefore by your own standards of beliefs spring from paganism and are therefore NOT from God.
Your insights please...

When I was about 3-4 years old (would`ve been around 1956 or 1957), my brothers and sisters and I would listen to the radio. (I still remember the dong, ding, dong, identifiying NBC). There was a song we all remember in part, with lyrics as follows..."Mountain men are mean, mountain men are tough".... I`m sorry, that`s all we remember. It seems as though the line might have been repeated, maybe part of the chorus. Anyone remember this song?

jesus peace be upon him fasted as muslims do . 40 days and nights,. where us muslims only fast from sun up till sundown yet christians say oh you are starving yourselves and thats terrible yo uhave to fast like that. cant you drink something?? and most chrsitians i know they say they are fasting , and eating all meals, i asked how is that fasting, they say oh today i am fasting from hot dogs. by God i can fast like that i only eat those maybe 1ce a month wow i could rack in the fasting points if i did it like that and it is not difficult at all. where is the struggle? where is the faith? muslims go all day with nothing no water no drink all for God the same God christains worship . so why have christians given up the proper way to fast as jesus did? with nothing to eat or drink not just picking a random food. ??

Other ridiculous birth examples are used, but here's what they don't understand:

A monkey giving birth to a human would be an act of creation! not evolution. Evolution is the gradual change of allele frequencies in a poplulation, which in turn may give rise to a new species over enough time.

That's even worse than the low chance argument (in which people assume the theory says all of life's features arise by chance, therefore disregarding natural selection).

What is the best argument you've seen against the theory of evolution? And if you don't agree with the theory, what's your major reason why?

I answered a question regarding a story about a black woman being tortured by five whites. The poster said she was now gravely afraid for her safety. The woman lived, btw. Althought I found it sad an unfortunate, I pointed out a story about Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom who were both brutally tortured and murdered to show her it wasn't just whites. That all races had the potential to do evil acts like these. This couple's story also didn't make it to national news, unlike the story about the black woman.

Can someone please enlighten me on how my statement was wrong because I got like a million downed thumbs over this and i'm confused.

Thanks.

FYI, here's the links to the story I was referring to:

(i got it from wikipedia, when i searched trinity)

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/bc/Shield-Trinity-Scutum-Fidei-English.png

for those that dont want to click the link it basically says that:

God is the Father
God is the Son
God is the Holy Spirit

the Father is not the Son
the Father is not the Holy Spirit
and the Son is not the Holy Spirit.

basically saying A = B, A = C, A = D
and that B != C != D

~.^

yes no maybe so? interpret as you will?

since they are very few, should people just conclude that Jesus' death is senseless because He was only able to save few people, which are the "born-again", even though those "born-again" are not really acting according to God's will, but just because they call themselves "born-again" they will go to heaven regardless of injustice they may have committed against other people?

they say "once saved always saved". does that make sense at all?

I'm trying to grasp some sense into that belief but I really can't. can anyone help me out? a sane mind perhaps?

I am 15 years old and I always come in here asking questions regarding my Faith and unanswered questions in the Bible that I would like to know. But it seems like everytime me or one of the other Christians on here ask a question yall ridicule us. Yall claim yall don't care about Christians..and also yall say we are idiots, and also that we are unintelligent and how we annoy yall...so why then do you guys come here? We have an environment in this part of Y!A for Christians to discuss things among other Christians...yet it seems we get more idiotic answers from athiest. If you do not believe and God and you have no inention to believe in God...then why do you waste your time coming here?

Would you regret believing in God if once you are judge he still sends you to Hell for all Eternity because of something you did your life and never repented for?

Basically would you regret living for Christ if you still were damned to hell?
Just asking a general question, not accusing or trying to be a *****. :]

RE:Emmy award

In her speech, Griffin said that "a lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus."

She went on to hold up her Emmy, make an off-color remark about Christ and proclaim, "This award is my god now!"

Thoughts?

Amongst ourselves? You know the argument where "I'm right and will be in heaven for an eternity while you're wrong and therefore you will be in hell for an eternity"? Or am I on a desserted island all by myself? By the way I'm a Roman Catholic Christian.
