If she should be censored for speaking against Jesus then those that should speak for him should also be censored.
America is the land of liberty. Which means if i wanted to go on a rant about what a crock say... Noah's ark was. I can. at the same time if I want to go on and on about the crucifixion I can also.
He** If I want to worship Jeff the good of peanut butter I can do that to.
The censor is the weapon of the ignorant and helpless. Men need fear not what other men say. Public opinion does not make truth. a man can stand against man, the tongue can break shields and shatter swords.
"Runes against blades" (meaning and wisdom)
The wise man need not banter with a fool, for he only proves that he is the real fool.
all good proverbish sayings. you should think about them.
Screaming for the censor to protect you, only shows the strong how weak you really are. It only shows the malicious that they have won.

Hold on a second. Kathy Griffin won an Emmy? Isn't that a sign of the end times?
Anyway, no, it shouldn't have been censored. Why would it even be offensive to Christians if she's just saying that Jesus didn't help her? She didn't insult Jesus, she just professed that she doesn't necessarily believe in him.
I just read the rest of her backstage comments. She did go more than a little beyond the boundaries of good taste, actually. I'd leave her onstage part and not air the rest.

This is a perfect example of what is wrong with many Christians.
She made a joke and right away the first thought is to sensor her. It is pathetic and in violation of her constitutional rights. Turn the channel if you don't like her. I think it is sad that Christians think that they are the ones who are usually censored (as one person answered.) I don't know about where you live but there are all kinds of christian programming on cable.
If were are unable to not thank god then should we be allowed to thank him? The very people who are trying to censor her might be the ones who end up censoring themselves in the long run.
(This is directed at anyone who believes these things, not necessarily you. lol)

I think anyone who has a problem with what she said needs to go and look up the word "comedian". If someone, like that nitwit Bill Donahue from the Catholic league is offended and hurt by her statements, that doesn't mean there is anything wrong with her statements, it just means that the complaining parties are just pathetic people with nothing better to do. Instead of watching the MTV awards, Bill Donahue should have been working on trying to clear up the scandalous moral issues within his own religious community. I would think that is more in line with his job duties as "President of the Catholic League"

She is not inciting anarchy against public safety so she should not be censored. So long as her worship of the Emmy does not involve sacrificing Labradoodle puppies to ensure she does not go even lower than the "D-list" her "religion" is nobodies business. If people do not agree with her there is such a thing as a remote control.

As a Christian, I dislike remarks like this about my faith. However, I think she is 100% right. These celebrities that thank God for all their success act like they are God's chosen few and the rest of us are plebes and pawns. Thanking God for an Emmy award is as bad as asking God to make you win the lottery.

She's a comedian. She tells jokes. That's her job. I see nothing particularly off-color about it. She didn't say anything derogatory toward Jesus. Only that he didn't have anything to do with her Emmy. Should I be offended if she had said "No one had less to do with this award than Nightwind?" Of course not. There's nothing rude in that statement.

To Censor or not that is the question. We do live in a free society where people can say whatever they think no matter how ridiculous....Freedom of Speech...She however will answer for this gross display when she meets The One and Only God one day and he says those that did not know His son He will never know.......I do however think it's a shame that my child while flipping through the channels or even watching the emmy's as a family should be subjected to such

WEll usually it is we christians that are silenced. I guess we all have the same right to speech. But this country was founded on Chrsitian pricciples and if ppl dont like that , they should mvoe to another country where Christianity is not the main religion. She may have a legal right to say it, but then dont tell us christians to be silent. not happening. BUt those of us that do love the Lord will pray for her to change her mind, and in the meantime, we do not have to support her. I would never see her in anything ever She has mocked God . I will pray for her, and leave her to God, but I will not support anyone who follows the enemy. So many non christians around, but they forget, there are lots of us true Christians too, and we dont have to give our hard earned money to ppl that mock God in any way. That aware can be her GOd now, its her choice, but that awared cant save her from hell, or heal her from the rage going on inside. ONly God can do that.
I didnt watch the emmys , so I didnt know about this. thanks for telling us, that no longer give our hard earned money to the movie industry/ tv industry, any of the media that wil l only sell stuff the devil puts out. We will only go to things that are christian, and our bucks count too. They fill these places and think we dont make a difference. they are wrong. Way more would go if they honored God. and in the end, it is God that will judge them. wont be pretty, but God gives us all the right to choose who we want to serve, Hiim or the devil. No other options. and our rewards of cureses come from the choices we make. God wont prevent Kathy or anyone else from talking like that. But rest assured, no one gets by with it....
