jesus peace be upon him fasted as muslims do . 40 days and nights,. where us muslims only fast from sun up till sundown yet christians say oh you are starving yourselves and thats terrible yo uhave to fast like that. cant you drink something?? and most chrsitians i know they say they are fasting , and eating all meals, i asked how is that fasting, they say oh today i am fasting from hot dogs. by God i can fast like that i only eat those maybe 1ce a month wow i could rack in the fasting points if i did it like that and it is not difficult at all. where is the struggle? where is the faith? muslims go all day with nothing no water no drink all for God the same God christains worship . so why have christians given up the proper way to fast as jesus did? with nothing to eat or drink not just picking a random food. ??

Not all do. I'm Christan and have fasted, and I know it's more important to spend time with God than earthly endeavors.
Those who judge you for that probably are not really Christan's but are really only hypocrites. Not because they don't fast but because they claim to be part of something that they don't practice.
My faith asks me to pray for a change in this persons heart and that they find peace with all through the universal concept of love, care and compassion. Instead of looking for weakness we ask for strength to overcome, and by that faith we do.

I have never heard of Christians judging Muslims for fasting.
Jesus said that when we fast, others really should not know that we are fasting, If we make it a point to let others know we are fasting, then we are fasting for the wrong reasons. Our fasting is about our personal relationship with God, not to benefit our relations with others. Over all it is not so much the how, but the why.
Christians and Muslims do not worship the same God. Muslims do not recognized the Trinity of God, thus cannot worship the same God.

So when exactly did I, a christian, judge muslims or anyone else for fasting? And when did I say I'm fasting from hot dogs? That's pretty darn silly. Giving up something, hot dogs or whatever, is sometimes done for Lint, but if the person is eating solid food its not fasting. I'm guessing one person said something and you're simply assuming we all think the same way or you simply like to attack an entire religious belief with whatever ammunition you can fine. Hate to break it to you, but we are not all one person. Coming up with such a stereotypical statement as yours is the same as if I said all muslims are terrorists, because there are some muslim terrorists. Actually, there probably are more muslim terrorists than there are ignorant christians that don't know what fasting is, considering christians fast also.

You do NOT fast the way Jesus did. He went without anything for 40 days and 40 nights. Name a Muslim that does that.
Personally I don't care if you fast and I doubt that most Christians do. Those Christians (the hot dog example) were talking about giving up things for lent. Hot dogs might have been their most favorite food in the world and eaten everyday. That would be the sacrifice for that time. There are Christians who fast, especially when searching for an answer. We don't feel the need to advertise everything. We don't have to do things on a set schedule the way you do. We follow God because we want to, not because we have to. You do not understand Christianity, which makes me wonder if you do worship the same God. We follow The Christ. You follow Muhammad.

That would not be a proper statement of the Christian view of fasting.... besides there are many much more serious reasons to fight against the threat of islam than some silly fasting issue... if someones enemy wishes to starve themself to death let them... but I have never heard of a muslim fasting more than a few hours a day any way... go hungery all day and eat all night is the muslim way.

Isaiah 58. Jesus said is this the fast that I have chosen. Fasting as far as food and drink is a personal choice. Christianity-followers of Christ. God leads and he directs us how and when to fast.
Fasting is often done before we make important decisions. Acts 13 and 14. Too often ones focus on fasting is the lack of food. Instead the purpose of fasting should be to take our eyes off the things of this world and instead focus on God. Fasting is a way to demonstrate to God,and to ourselves that we are serious about our relationship with him. Fasting helps one to gain a new perspective and reliance upon God. Fasting is not intended to punish our flesh, but focus on God. fasting is something we give up on temparily. Gods word does not make it a command nor it a requirement or demand of Christians. The Bible presents fasting as something that is good, profitable, and expected. Fasting changes us not God! Matthew 6:16-18. It is not to be done to appear more spiritual than another! Fasting and prayer is to edify us and the church.( I have fasted for as much as 3 days with food nor drink and I am a Christian.) Some can not do so because of illness but God makes provisions for us all.

First of all, you shouldn't lump Christians into one catagory. There are some Christians who believe in fasting just as you described, or perhaps only water. Jesus in the New Testament gives instructions as "when you fast..." showing that fasting is perfectly within the will of God, provided that our purpose is not man made but to help us focus on God and that we don't make a show of it, but continue in our lives - so there could be people fasting around you and you don't know about it.

I don't think most Christians judge Muslims for that. Many Christians do fast. I'm not sure who your source is that Christians have abandoned that practice because I just finished a study at my church on fasting and it was totally based on Jesus' example. We believe it's a private thing and we don't make a public display when we do it, but it does go on. You're not confusing the Catholic practice of Lent, are you?

I am extremely sorry if im hurting anyone's feelings here, but i hav to explain to you what you asked.
The only way i can answer your question, is by reminding you that Chriatianity has been and is being changed throughout the history. what the Christians follow these days is nothing in relation to real religion. Just consider how can a human being edit the words and sayings of Divine God.
Christianity doesnt allow alcohol, sex outside marriage, terrorism, and numerous other.. and Islam bans the same as wel..
Regarding Fasting, i wil give you an example. if u go out and ask a TRUE Muslim that how can he fast for whole 12 hours (maintaining his usual daily routines), u wil be amazed to hear him say that he doesnt know. ALLAH gives him strength to do so.
Now, in normal days, i cant even consider going along my usual routine without drinking water for more than an hour. but during Fasting, i can live till whole 12 hours daily till a month.. i end up admitting that ALLAH gives me strength to do so.
AND PLEASE EVERYONE OVER HERE.. PLEASE FOR YOUR OWN GOD'S SAKE RESPECT OUR RELIGION. I AM SURE EVEN YOUR RELIGIONS DONT ALLOW YOU TO HURT PEOPLE BUT THATS WHAT U ARE DOING..I HOPE U UNDERSTAND..
PEACE TO ALL...

Some Christians do fast in varying forms.
Catholics fast in varying degrees for lent. Some give up all but the most basic of foods, and some only give up one or two items that they like a lot.
It used to be that meat was not allowed on Fridays and some still do that.
When I was growing up, we fasted from sundown on Sat. until after communion on Sunday every week, 52 weeks a year and never ate meat on Friday.
The questions you are hearing are from people who don't understand the concept.
Consider it an opportunity to educate them about the customs of Islam.
