As a Christian I do believe in evagelising, but in the same token I believe there are ways to go about it and ways not to. For instance the people shouting in the street and ringing a bell telling people if they do not believe in Christ they're going to hell; That is a big NO NO. I know if I saw that I would be like if that's what religion does to you I want no part of it.

So a question to the 'non-believers' or probably the ones who think that they are living a reality and not a God fantasy. What way would you appreciate most for someone to you about their religion?

If the answer is none then there is no point posting it. Unless your'e just doing it for you 2 points

Well, I'm a Muslim and as far as I thought I knew about Christianity; Catholics, Protestants, Jehovah Witnesses and others belonged to diferent sects of CHRISTIANITY!

So, basicly, all would call themselves Christians, u know!

But recently I have seen that the word 'Catholic' and 'Christian' used in the same sentence to reffer to different people almost all the time in R&S and other forums. Besides, what really puzzled me was that when I was reading this book on Islamic history by a westerner and I came to the topic of 'Crusades' - he seem to have divided the churches into two = 'CatholicChurch' and 'Christian Church'.

Now, I'm really confused. Is Catholicism a different religion altogether? but wait - My Roman Catholic freinds here call themselves Christians. MORE CONFUSION! Please help.

For instance, if you are gay, what characteristics do you have that are stereotypically "straight?" If you are straight, what characteristics do you have that are sterotypically "gay?"
If you are bi, you can answer for both "gay" and "straight" stereotypes.

As for me, I'm a straight woman but I love the Indigo Girls and other musicians that appeal to the "lesbian" population.

I'm sure there are many who wholeheartedly believe that they are conversing with the Almighty. I would have to assume, though, that there is a population which never had any personal or divine revelation but make claims of one to simply fit it. Your thoughts?

Do you realize that many Christians are disgusted with him, too, and should be? I am one of them. He is being used by Satan to drive people away from Christ! He has forgotten the old saying: "God hates the sin, but loves the sinner".

My wife has a very important job as assistant and accountant to the boss of a construction company and shows houses on occassion but that is not her job. She works out a way the people can get into the house. But she comes home from work and we sit down to eat and he calls to ask her about something on her cell phone. He is much older married 2 kids.
Devoted husband and father. I doubt there is anything sexual going on my wife is pure as the driven snow. She has very high moral standards. So it is not being jealous, I don't think?
But then they talk and it is my time, my space. Am I right to resent it? I told her turn the phone off when you get home?
She says I can't do that? why? Am i being unreasonable?

I'm looking for practising druids from the UK who would tell me here about the organizations they belong to. About their philosophy, goals, value system, origins, etc. I'm just curious. Mainly want to see the differences between the various organizations and have a general view of today's druidism. You can refer me to your official website but I want to read your own thoughts about the organization you belong to, as well. Thanks!

Hello, I hope that you are all doing well today. I want to know what your opinion is about the discovery of Noah's Ark on Mount Ararat? Let me elaborate: in the 1950's a frenchman named Ferdinand Aranzo(?) and his son, climbed Mount Ararat in an expidition to find the Ark. At that time they found some wood, but not the entire Ark. Ferdinand had the wood tested to see how old it was. The wood was 5,000 years old, also it was a type of wood that had never before been in that region. Since then, there have been many expeditions by dozens of people on Mount Ararat. It is believed by many people, a lot of these being in the scientific community that the Ark is hidden in a volcanic peak bordering Iran and the Former Soviet Empire at Mt. Ararat. A chineseman and his crew believed that they walked into the Ark, when they made a tunnel and crawled through it on one of their expeditions. When they crawled inside, they came into a wooden room, with cages. So without going on and on,

I am amazed by all of the posts on this site that protray the Lord God as a punishing God. The talk of fire and brimstone just makes me giggle. I don't know about other Christians out there, but I serve a loving and mercifully God. A wonderful God, I know that I sin every day, every in slight thought that might not pure, every word that slips off my tongue that is foul, or every time I get angered in traffic, all sins. However I know that when I pray I ask for forgiveness, he forgives washes the slate clean and I try to do better tomorrow. That's the God I serve. Who is this God that some like to speak about on this website? I really can honestly say I don't this God. What are your thoughts?

was arguing with a friend over whether or not 'The life of Brian' is blasphemous against Christianity, I pointed out the only times Jesus appeared in the film were in the manger and on the sermon on the mount, both in a good light.
So I was wondering if there was something I'm missing?
