was arguing with a friend over whether or not 'The life of Brian' is blasphemous against Christianity, I pointed out the only times Jesus appeared in the film were in the manger and on the sermon on the mount, both in a good light.
So I was wondering if there was something I'm missing?

I haven't seen the movie, but I think that people can have a problem with any movie that is a comedy that is also about a member of deity, such as Jim Carrey's movie where God takes a vacation.

Of course it is. It is the best movie about religion that has ever been made and it is the most realistic. People running around searching for someone to worship….; Christians haven’t changed a bit.

A lot of people saw it as a parody of the life of Jesus, but you're right it's not really blasphemous.

Because they are a bunch of Big Noses!

I love that movie.

Nah I think it has more to do with people are always ok with someone poking fun at others but once the sights are on them they get all serious.

it pokes fun as Christ and undermines the teachings of the bible and to some people it they don't consider it to be funny.

personally, i think its a laugh and shouldn't be taken seriuosly! its a movie for christ's sake! =p
