treatment required by a "hospital-acquired complication"? In addition, it will no longer pay for falls, objects left in surgical patients and other problems that happen in hospitals that could have been prevented.

This rule change also blocks hospitals from billing patients for the cost of the treatment.

Do you think the hospitals will be more careful with the patients they receive now?

1. Australians look forward to freedom
2. Italians and Spanish are prone to do nothing
3. Britons and Americans most likely travel abroad for long periods.
4. Germans like to travel also, but prefer sporting activities
5. French go for gardening
6. Canadians do lots of charity work
7. Japanese have retirement allergies. Forty percent pursued paid work after retirement. That's 10 times more than France.

Isn't that interesting?

People always have to come in and say something really rude about us. Its a shame. And then everytime people say something nice about other races of women, then people always agree. And yes, the majority are probably White, I'm not saying all are like that though. I say nice things about yall, so why cant you return the favor!? You guys always have something neative to say!
Today, someone asked "Why do White men love Black women so much", ofcourse they werent Black. But I was so mad at the answers that White men put. They said they did not find Black women attractive at all and blah blah blah stuff like that. Why even respond if you think of us like that? We dont do that to you guys.

My 19 year old brother just came out to me in April of this year. We come from a pretty conservative family that doesn't support the LGBT community, so it was a big step for him to come out to me (I do not share the same feelings as our family). He has not come out to anyone else (family or friends). This summer he went home to live with our mother and I was away studying abroad. When I returned he told me that he started having feelings a girl he works with, and now he doesn't know if he is gay. He said that when he came out to me he was sure he was gay, now he is back to not knowing. He has never been in a relationship - man or woman - because he is afraid of hurting the persons feelings. He has also told me that he is physically attracted to men, and emotionally attracted to women. My question is, are his feelings typical? Do you think he is gay or straight? Any advice to help him figure out what he's going through?

...in a young girl's heart
How the music can free her, whenever it starts
And it's magic, if the music is groovy
It makes you feel happy like an old-time movie
I'll tell you about the magic, and it'll free your soul
But it's like trying to tell a stranger 'bout rock and roll

Do you believe in magic ?

i believe that jesus is my lord and savior. I believe that God created me. I believe that He loves me.
But my faith is like a roller coaster (now being the "high" part)
I wake up in the morning and i feel good because God has me covered.

But sometimes i forget how much he means to me and get pulled in by the immoral and sinful acts of humans. I love God and i realize that sin does separate us from him. I'm tired of being on this roller coaster and just want to live a happy life with Him, because i know that is the best life for me.

If a Muslim swears in the name of Allah that he/she would do this, and then didn't, I know this is considered a sin. But what can you do to recompense? I know it's fasting but what kind of fasting and how many days?

Example: A person swore by the name of Allah that he would never marry because he was so full with grief. But after the years, he found an attractive, kind and polite girl. What should he do? He had already swore never to marry yet he wants to marry this person.

Help me, dear Muslims.

... is much the same as being a fan of something like, say, Star Trek. Imean, they go on the same way, quote them and give episode names and numbers, can't enter any conversation without mentioning it. Church must be to christians like having a Sci-fi convention every week!

Discuss.

There is a number of religious people on here that quote their Bible for every answer instead of taking their knowledge of their religion and book and coming up with their own answer. Is it that hard to think for themselves, or do they simply not understand how to speak their own thoughts without being led?

I mean, it's fine to quote, but a whole answer in quotes looks like you have no mind of your own. How about placing a quote and then explaining how it applies? It's like parrots- they recite what they're taught, but they don't know what it means enough to discuss it.

Anyone else think it's odd that people just quote other's words instead of finding their own? Does anyone have a reason why? I know this isn't all or even most of the religious people on here, just a select few, but I just find it strange. Ideas?

What do you call those people who hate or fear homosexual men? Well I was (still am?) one. (As an aside, I am very open to lesbians, maybe because I am a woman myself). I recently found out that my childhood’s best friend turned gay. Not unexpected. When everyone started to fall in love, I never got the “hot” vibe off him, always the “brother” vibe.

I found out when he accidentally and unawares wrote an email to his boyfriend from my logged-in account. That email got stuck in my drafts folder. He doesn’t know that I know, but he knows that I’m freaked of gay men and that’s why he probably never told me.

So, what the hell now, should I keep on pretending? Should I tell him? Should I (or do I have a right to) be mad that he never told me? I’m angry and embarrassed and not sure if I feel that towards myself or towards him, and I’m not sure which one of us betrayed the friendship--he who did it knowingly but unwillingly or I who did it willingly but unknowingly.

Hmm...If the earth completely flooded, wouldn't all bodies of water had been connected? Meaning all bodies of water would have become salt-water, that in mind, wouldn't all freshwater animals had died? I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and saying Noah didn't bring them on the Ark..

Oh one more, this was buggin' me too..

There are certain animals that /only/ eat certain animals or plants. Did Noah actually have every kind of soil on the Ark, growing every kind of plant to keep the animals alive? Even weirder, how did he feed those animals that only eat a certain type of OTHER animal. Example, there's a certain bird that only eats a certain type of snail.. Now since both the snail species, and the bird species still exist, I guess they didn't die in the flood. How did he feed the bird if he only brought two of them snails?

No flaming please, serious questions.

(REPOST/please don't delete.)
