There are, on earth, 1,600,000 recorded species to date, and countless unrecorded species( thought to be up to 30,000,000 but I'll discount those to make it easier for Noah).

Many of these species are unique to particular continents.

To achieve what is alleged in the bible:-

Noah travelled to every corner of every continent to gather a pair of each unique species.
He didn't miss the microscopically small species, even without a microscope.
He didn't miss the great carnivores that chased him.
He didn't miss those that kept running away.
He found time to gather at least 32,000,000 individuals (male and female).
He did all this in a relatively very short space of time
He created conditions to allow the survival of them all on a small boa which he also had time to build.
He did all this with limited help

Was he eating spinach or did he come from Planet Krypton?

Or is this biblical story not to be taken literally?

it is taught that jesus apparently returned " invisibly" in 1914 right? in 1 Corinthians 11:26... jesus commanded that we continue to proclaim his death by eating the unlevened bread and drinking wine UNTIL HIS RETURN. (by the way....in which "every eye will see" (HELLOOOOO nobody can see him if he's invisible people!)
why.......OH WHY......do they continue with the passover when he has ALREADY RETURNED????
i dare you to answer this.....if you can.

"...in 325 AD, the Council of Nicea convened and decided what they thought the common masses were capable of understanding. They chose what to canonize and what to include as the "word of God" in the Bible. Arguments ensued and sections of the bible were edited and deleted, detrimental to their interpretation..."

I was reading some Young Earth Creationist materials and came across several references to a water/ice canopy that sort of hovered above the planet. What kept this gigantic mass suspended in earth orbit, and what kept it together and from either drifting away or smashing into earth, and finally, what of meteors hitting it?

I think the responsible thing to do is have an abortion.

Adoption is not the way to go. There are already literally millions of orphans on planet earth who live in miserable conditions and don't have families. Let's take care of the orphans that already exist instead of bringing more unwanted children into this world.

Also, adoption is not an easy thing. I sure as hell would NEVER give up my own baby regardless if it were wanted or unwanted. Even if it were unwanted, i wouldn't waste 9 months of my life going through physical and emotional discomfort just so i can give my baby away. Of course I would love my child once it were born and once i held it and saw it. So adoption is definitely not something that can be debated.

So let's say that somebody gets pregnant and DOES keep the unwanted baby and raises it but that person is too busy balancing her multiple minimum wage jobs and neglects the child. The child is not receiving enough love, support, education, food, etc.

According to the Bible there were only 8 people on the Ark during the great flood. Noah and his wife. Ham, Shem, Japeth and their wifes. How did they manage to repopulate the earth so quickly? Yes I believe it happened but I just don't know how.

Why should I believe in him, I have had christians tell me all the storys from the bible, and that they have heard him and jesus talked to them. I don't buy it. If he was real wouldn't I know, wouldn't I not have any doubt? Plus whats makes hell such a bad place? Cause God says so? Isn't that like McDonalds telling you that Burger King is bad? Of course they want you to think hell is bad cause they want you to come to heaven. I just think that God is an imaginary friend for grown ups.

Is that the correct way to handle someone gassy in public?

What if it is a business partner, Boss, or co-Worker who is frequently and loudly gassy in your presence, as in during a meeting or presentation in front of others or in a adjoining cubicle in a small office with terrible ventilation?

Do you say to that person "take some Beano" or go to the bathroom? Do you send them a email?

Do you spray air freshners in their presence?

Light some matches?

Burn candles?

Quit?

During 1260 years these witnesses are in state of sackcloth or obscurity, but God gives them the power to maintain their testimony. Zech. 4:11-14 implies that the 2 olive trees represent the Word of God. John 5:39 says "They are they which testify of me."....this was Jesus talking about the OT.
Rev.11:5--"if any man hurt them"....to hurt the Word of God is to corrupt, oppose, or pervert it. "fire proceedeth out of their mouth"....judgement of fire is pronounced in the Word against them. Rev.11:6 "These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not....and power over water to turn to blood"....Moses and Elijah did these things...but did them in the power of the Word of the Lord. Rev.11:7 "when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast....shall make war against them, and overcome...and kill them." AD 538 start of sackcloth state-AD 1798. France would have fit spiritual Sodom and Egypt. (11:8) "they ...shall see their dead bodies 31/2 days and not put them in graves." (11:9)

Ok, I've asked something similar to this ages ago. Help me out Christians...

Why should I believe it God? I can't see hear smell or touch him, and his Bible was written by men, and then translated and retranslated by men, and you've only got their say so that it was the Holy Spirit. I want a reason, so here's your chance to evangelise. Please note:

Saying things like 'you can't see gravity but you believe it' is just stupid. I can measure and prove gravity.

Saying the signs are all around me is stupid. No they are not - you only think that if you already believe.

Why is there no proof of the omnipotent God? If he want's me to believe, why don't I? Why doesn't he help me out a little?

Apart from general insecurity, can a believer give me a concrete reason why I should believe in God apart from Scripture based rhetoric and empty quotes and parables?

Note this is not an anti-christian question. I just don't get it, I'm agnostic and I'd like to understand.
