I have gravestones in my room. So right now my room is a cemetery. I will put the gravestones outside soon.

I still have my easter decorations up. Never felt like taking them down.

How funny that you asked this question. I just asked my kids today if they would care if I started decorating for Halloween (and it's a HUGE thing at our house) and they said go for it....so I am!!
I am going to start with the inside of the house first.

I'll wait until about 2nd week in September to start putting out my cemetary and outside decorations. (only because I don't want people stealing or destroying them)

If I could I'd keep it up all year long!

No, unless you're doing it inside your house where no one outside can see. It's one thing to leave up Halloween lights without turninging them on, it's something else entirely to start decorating this early. You're giving folks two and a half months (August is over half-way done) to ruin and potentially steal your decorations.

It's okay to start planning and even start buying or making deorations now. But you should wait until October (or at least the last week of September at the earliest) before you start putting them up.

i usually start decorating for halloween as soon as the kids start school, which is in late august. inside first and the outside last. halloween is a big production at my house and it takes time getting it all set up and operating. some of the neighbors usually pitch in and help. they are as excited to see the reaction on the kids faces as i am.........

happy hallo--------weennnnnnnnnnnn !!!!!!

i think of it would be a tad early for the scarecrows and witches yet not too early for those decorations that should be considered greater "fall-like" possibly take a glance by way of your sequence and placed out the quasi-Halloween stuff now and then start up up with those ghosts precise on the get bypass of October.

You can do anything you want, as long as it does not hurt anyone else. Some people will think it's tacky, that you are eccentric, or just call you plain out crazy, but who cares what other people think? Do what's fun! None of us are promised tomorrow. Enjoy today! :)

Why not? People leave Christmas lights up year round. Sometimes they even leave them illuminated!

I've got a portion of my house done up to house a collection of Disneyland Haunted Mansion items, so its specifically gloomy and dark and very Halloweenish. I enjoy it, its inside, and doesn't disturb anyone (except visitors, heh, heh).

If you feel like it, then HELL YEAH!

I love Halloween decorations, and I think it would be great if some people kept them out all year!

Go for it!
