Religious controversy seems to be a human social problem.

I believe in God whom is so much greater than us it is hard to understand him. A friend of mine is born in India and is Hindu and he was so surprised to learn there were different denominations of Christians.

I hope I can always respect others religions and I deeply respect all human life.

Hell no! I think plenty of Jews, not to mention plenty of Christians, would have a problem with that! Why don't we call him Zeus? That name has kind of died out since pagan times, so nobody uses it anymore, and it will piss everyone off equally! I'm sick and tired of all this kowtowing to Muslim fanatics. I say, if the bastards want to be martyrs, let's make 'em martyrs! Kill 'em all and let God (whatever you call him) sort 'em out! Then those of us who believe in a religion of peace can get on with making this a better world!

No, if you notice the rather vehement conflict between Sunni and Shi'a Muslims, you might get the impression that so simple a solution does not apply.

LOL. Hardly.

Muslims kill each other over which version of Allah is the correct one, just as Christians have killed each other over versions of Jesus. Just as people have always killed each other over discrepancies in their respective imaginary concepts. You know why? Because they're imaginary, so there's no other way of establishing the supremacy of one over another.

No. Look at the conflict between catholic and protestant, or even within the catholic church in the past.
