Should belonging to a religion make those people better human beings? Or should it only provide some kind of comfort to those who practice it? Should the community and the world benefit from their practice of religion, or should only they benefit?

Imagine a loved one has cancer.

Do you pray your god for a cure for the cancer or would you prefer the person to die so that he/she goes to heaven for an eternal life? Or do you consult a scientifically trained doctor for some form of treatment?

Now that most christians have given up arguing the Intelligent design "theory" they are trying to claim god put us all here through evolution.

Could someone please explain to me why god would have done so, I mean for an omnipotent god to go through hundreds of millions of different species to get to mankind is laughable and should make one seriously consider the flaws in this "theory". Also did he then hit the earth with the meteor which wiped out the dinosaurs? Doesn't sound very benevolent to me.

Evolution on it's own makes sense, god doing it is even more absurd that the Intelligent design argument.

I think people who think lust has no place in a love relationship have NEVER in their lives had the kind of howling, scratching, suck your toenails back into your body kind of sexual orgasm good old-fashioned LUST brings to the table. Or kitchen counter. Or hallway. Or, eventually, with much breakage of furniture and random claw marks, bedroom.

Where would love be without lust? Pining away in the moonlight writing bad poetry, that's where. It's time to celebrate the things that make life worth living and stop calling them SINS, don't you agree?

I just got off the phone with a rep from Y!A Abuse dept concerning a complaint I filed against Y!A offing Da Ben Dan. This person stated that if the person that was removed would contact Y!A abuse team it would get resolved. When I told her that it was not being resolved he had not be reinstated. She said she had no way to look up a user name!!!!! What I said!!!!
I was flabbergasted to say the least. When I told her that an imposter had taken over DBD's screen name her response was We can't do anything about that.

DB Dan I guess it is going to be an all "out" war with Y!A and Yahoo's Advertisers. I am going to compile a list of all the advertisers I see and begin a letter writing campaign, with your permission of course.

im 15 and when i was 8 my father committed suicide. when i was young he always used to sing this song by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and now whenever i hear that song on the radio(it rarely plays) i feel safe and i feel like my dad is watching over me and protecting me. i believe he is my gaurdian angel....do you believe he is and do u believe you have one too?


i also always wondered if he will ever send me signs (other than the song) because i read about people who actually communicate w. a dead loved one. he has been in my dreams but i wondering if an actual encounter is possible?

Last night my hubby was really gettin on my nerves cos he
was sleeping on his side and his feet kept scratching the
bedsheets. The constant noise of his toenails was really getting on my nerves. So I got up, walked around to his side of the bed to get some socks (I have done this before and just put them on the end of his feet - anything to stop him!!) As I
bent down I felt him behind me and his arms were on my shoulders and pulling me back. As I turned I saw my husband
asleep in bed. I reeled with fright, then I was at the side of him,
lying down as if I had been asleep. It has scared me to death.
So, would this be me just dropping off to sleep or what? Do you think its because I was tired and anxious. I really thought
I was awake. HELP. Minxy.

I went to get some chinese fast food for lunch yesterday. My fortune in my fortune said "Wednesday Is Your Lucky Day" I have never had a fortune that accurate before. why is it that so many folks here on R & S often say things like, "I'm not bashing them. i am just bashing their religion"....but then those SAME people who are "just bashing the religion"....turn around and question the intelligence of other people?? They say things like "Oh, how can anyone believe that??" or "they must not be thinking!"

that is NOT just bashing the religion. that's bashing the PEOPLE who follow that religion. when you say things like that, you are grossly implying that the other person isn't as intelligent as you.

i mean, why do people have to try and justify their own rude behavior, and then hypocritically turn around and MAKE personal attacks against others??
