I know I’ve asked this question before but I am still trying to get more suggestions.

I think we should write our own 10 commandments, our style. Here are my proposals, feel free to criticize and add your own:

•Remember the Saturday Night
•Honor your father and your mother if they accepted you
•You shall not socially murder your ex
•You shall not wear pink on Wednesday
•You shall not steal from Abercrombie & Fitch
•You shall not bear, unless you been together long enough.
• You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet his husband, or his male servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or his Gimp, or anything that is your neighbor's.

When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment. (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)

So these are the Bible family values! A man can buy as many sex slaves as he wants as long as he feeds them, clothes them, and screws them!

so apparently it was original sin that shortened the lifespan of people from as much as 1000 years down to about 100 years. so why do many of adam and eve's offspring still live to be nearly 1000 when many of them were already corrupt with original sin?

Have you started reading the new publication, Come Follow Me, that we received at our conventions?? I have, and it's GREAT. I've learned a lot more about Jesus already and I'm only on chapter 6.

What about you?

We shall unleash the Nihllists and Atheist, and we shall provoke a formadable social cataclysm which in all its horror will show clearly to the nations the effects of absolute atheism, orgin of savagery and of the most bloody turmoil. Then everywhere, the citizens, obliged to defend themselves against the world minority of revolutionaries, will exterminate those destroyers of civilization, and the multitude, disillusioned with Christianity, whose deistic spirits will be from that moment without compass, anxious for an ideal, but without knowing where to render its adoration, will receive the pure doctrine of Lucifer, brought finally out in public view, a manisfestation which will result from the general reactionary movement which will follow the destruction of christianity and atheism, both conquered and exterminated at the same time. I feel like we're not getting any real answers, cause every Christian is a total new world, and everyone's god is a completely new one. A reflection of everyone's desires and ideals. The same happens with everyone's conception of Hell and Heaven and other similar concepts. Why so much inconsistency? Why don't you gather all together and get to an agreement so you can make your little fairy tale more credible?
Thus more people will buy it.

I see this as a poor argument for the existance of supernatural. Have you ever thought that instead, life adapted to the environment it was given (similar to what we see with microevolution)? Do you see this as a possibility; why or why not?

I am an atheist and I cannot prove or disprove the existence of God. Someone one asked me what is the point of life if God doesn't exist. He asked me why he shouldn't just kill himself if God didn't exist. Would you christians really kill yourselves if they could prove scientifically that God didn't exist???

And Christians: Have you considered becoming full-blown retarded? (not like you have a choice)

Oh, I'm kidding. No harm intended.

2007-08-08 07:35:55 · 21 answers · asked by Anonymous in Religion & Spirituality

Isn't it how funny...that the majority of the Christians in here feel as though they are the "chosen ones"; when in reality, the Christian religion is basically one of the newest? There have been many, many religions to emerge since the very start....and yet, they are "false". If anything...wouldn't the Christian belief be thought as "false", since they came so much later? What makes you feel so confident in talking down to others, when you have virtually no proof and no decent argument. The oldest religion (including scriptures) is Hinduism, there were also - Pagans, Jews, Atheists, Egyptian Gods, etc etc. How can you tell these people who came before you, they are all wrong?

Years ago there was a woman in my old church her husband left her for another woman and this church was so mean to her. One woman actually had the nerve to tell this poor suffering woman it is your fault that your husband left you you must have done something to want him to leave you. She was implying that his needs were not being met which was false because this woman was pregnant by her husband when he took off with another woman.

Why do christians have a hard time dealing with people who get divorced or have other needs? Why do some people think everything has to be happy all the time?

Why cant some christians accept that people are human and bad things happen to good people at times?

I've asked a previous question about symbols:

本性難移

It has been determined that even though this is kind of what i want, this particular saying carries a negative connotation.

Is there a translation for - "It is impossible to change your basic characteristics" in traditional chinese that is 4-5 symbols long?

for example. even though you go through hard times and people are mean/rude - you keep your good heart and courage or bravery and honesty.
