No....
Why would I waste what could have been by killing myself?
True.....there would be no reason to continue on if we ever by some minute chance found out that God was not real..........but I would never kill myself

Good question!
Personally...no....though I have the Holy Spirit within me and by His presence I have no doubt about God being here or not, lol... but...
There are MANY whom do NOT have the Holy Spirit within them and if THEY thought there wasn't any hope or reason to live, then, yes, if someone was able to make headlines about a discovery that allegedly proved God did not exist, I have no doubt that there would be many whom went berserk and killed themselves or gave up trying to be "good" and went ahead and did all the things that they had been told was "wrong" and we'd have a truly "godless" society indeed since there wasn't anything that kept those whom were dangerously in check from not doing anything.
Peace be with you :)

I understand where you are coming from, but that person was trying to make a point. The point of "If you're not living for Jesus, then what are you living for." But no, a Christian should not have the desire to kill themselves. There are alot of people who claim to be Christians, they have the 'Jesus fish' on their car and the cross around their neck and live any way they want to, but a tree is known by it's fruit!
If I am wrong in living for Jesus, then what do I have to lose? I am saved by God's grace from eternal damnation in hell. But if you are wrong, then you have alot to lose. If you don't believe and trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then you have enough atheism to take you to hell.
Romans 3:23:
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 6:23:
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 10:9:
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Acts 4:12:
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
Jesus Christ is King of kings and Lord of Lords! I pray you will be open to God revealing Himself to you.

No, thats crazy. Im sure some extramists will go and do that but just because my spiritual point of view has been proven wrong doesnt mean I should kill myself. That would be a contradiction because God doesnt ever wanting you committing suicide.

no, i am a follower of Christ and know He exists and i believe by faith which God gave everyone a measure and would not kill myself if someone tried to convince me or disprove God didnt exist//a true follower of Christ could never answer your question to your satisfaction because they know and it could never be proven God doesnt exist

If they "proved scientifically" that God didn't exist, it'd probably be a lie. I believe he exists. I wouldn't kill myself for anything..

I've heard that argument before. Actually if this life is all I have I'd do everything I can to live as long as possible.
As a Christian I don't know that I would go to any extremes to extend my life.

I find it mind numbing but I have heard several devote Protestants tell me that if they suddenly believed that there was no god then they would have no reason not to rape, murder, steal and commit suicide.
I pressed them on the point to find out of they were talking metaphorically. They insisted that they were being literal.
It scared the poop out of me !!!

That would be sad! Someone really asked you that?
I guess it's the same mentality that says they'd murder and rape and steal if the Bible didn't say not to.
*shrug*
Edit: um... if god was proven beyond doubt you would not kill yourself because god doesn't ever want you to kill yourself??
*cry*

no i would not kill myself to prove anything
but you tell me why believing in my LORD JESUS CHRIST
is so wrong think about it in the end of our life when we which one of us is it really going to affect being wrong
if im wrong in believing then nothing happens but if atheists are wrong then they go to hell so really why would anyone play with a chance like that
