I have seen in magazines such as People, the accronim KUDOS, but can't find the meaning, looks like a possitive thing to say to someone, like "two thumbs up". Could someone tell me????

Thank you.

Kudos (IPA pronunciation: ['kju:dɒs]['ku:dɒs]), from the Greek κύδος kydos (literally "that which is heard of") means fame and renown resulting from an act or achievement; by extension is often used as a praising remark. It entered English as British university slang in the early 1800s. In English, as In Greek, Kudos is a singular, not a plural, noun.

Kudos is simply Greek for "praise." As with many Greek words, -os indicates a singular noun and is pronounced -oss, not -oze. Many people assume kudos is the plural form, with the singular being a kudo. They are wrong. Just wrong.
KUDOS is SINGULAR while KUDO is PLURAL.
addendum: Didn't see the above remark before I typed mine.

Stands for nothing....means honor, glory, acclaim. It is a word not an accronim. It is a positive comment to make, to offer kudos to another for something they have done.

I didn't know it was an accronym. It usually means strokes, or praise. Like a pat on the back or "good job".

It's not an acronym, it's a word. Synonymous with praise, as you seem to have figured out from context.
