I don't believe it is anything more than a testimony. Hence the name old and new "Testament." These are stories to uplift and free you not to condemn you. The brothers Grimm tell stories of cannibalism that have morals this doesn't condone cannibalism. Each person that has an encounter with God and lives a life of Love has a Testimony as well.
This same Bible tells the story of Magi traveling to see Jesus which indicates he's as Zoroastrian as he is Jewish.
The notion of God being for a nation or ethnic group over all others is preposterous and very negative. Jesus taught something new, something better. He taught that God is Love and that Love is for everyone. That's his good news. If there's part of the story I believe that's the part I pick.
God is Love.

I sure don't believe that. And even the believers surely must see that this book was written by men, describing events that took place thousands or even billions of years before they wre born (or do they think Genesis, for example, is an eyewitness account?)
Gnostic, I must say you're on the right track when you compare the Bible to Grimm's fairy tales.

The Bible was actually written by a number of people who said they had received their inspiration (or what to say) from God Himself.

So I believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God.

I've found the KJV bible to be true through much study and prayer. Need a guide? Check out the official church websites I've provided below.

because the Holy Spirit inspires me and i see its Gods word ... the bible isnt written to non-believers and to recruit people thats what i think personally .. its written to believers ... God finds people in their sins and God speaks to the heart .. that comes first .. then the bible comes later ..

For me, it was being told all my life that if I didn't believe in the bible as the word of God, then I didn't believe in God who wrote it, therefore would go to hell.

And then I woke up.
