where does it say that we are daughters of eve and sons of Adam in the bible? I am just wondering because I wonder if people are lost in there own way and created the fact that we all come from adam and Eve. In my eyes the Jews were created from them, the rest from other couples. But if it says it in the bible that man came from Adam, and daughters came from Eve then I am wrong.

Yesterday, the following was posted in a question

"Did you hear that Muslims in Dearborn Michigan were celebrating the bridge collapse in Minneapolis?"

In response, two people (Damon and Indiana Raven) answered with "it wouldn't surpirse me."

As somebody who lived in Detroit for about 2.5 years, and knows a few Muslims from Dearborn, my gut told me that there was no merit to the original claim. And here we are, a day later, and there is still nothing on the newswires indicating that this might be true.

So my question is whether or not people who make such racist assumptions about others ever go back and check the validity of their assumptions? And if so, do they ever apologize?

In Tibetan Buddhism they hold that certain famous lamas are reincarnated, and they venerate them. My question is isn't becoming a Buddha, the goal of Buddhism, the thing that releases you from the cycle of samsara and rebirth? These famous lamas that are presumed to have achieved realization of their Buddha mind, shouldn't they not be reincarnated? I know this is unique to Tibetan-style Buddhism, and not all adherents of Buddhism believe this (and that some don't even hold to the idea of reincarnation) but any clue as to how this works would be great.

I am having a party on Tuesday the 7th, and I sent out the invites 2 weeks ago. I invited 10 girls, and all of them have gotten back to me except one. I am not sure if she is out of town, decided not to RSVP (something she would do to be mean...), or did not get the letter. Should I e-mail her and explain or should I just let it be? I'm not sure if I am one or not. I have nothing against them but I don't want to be a lesbo! It's like, some of my teachers, all I want to do is please them. Nothing sexual or gross, I just want to do better in that subject or something. There's a girl in my class who I didn't really know very well, I got invited to a sleepover which she was going to as well. We got on REALLY well, even though we've never really spoken before. All the other people got annoyed because we were chatting amoungst ourselves. Another thing, we always get almost exactly the same mark in every subject at school. We're both really competetive, it was the same at the party, we both won most of the games or came second to each other. We hugged when it was time to go home even though we weren't very close before that weekend. Now I can't wait for the summer holidays to end to see her at school again, like I said, nothing sexual, I just really want to be her friend. Help? Am I a lesbian because of this?

Or, they leave the store and get in an expensive car.

Isn't welfare designed as a temporary assistance, to help people get back on their feet....and shouldn't welfare be a last resort.

If you are having financial problems, wouldn't the responsible thing be to sell the expensive car, get an affordable one. Only by groceries that are needed to sustain you and your family?

Are you upset that your taxpayer dollars go to support people who are making such poor choices?

What is your EVERLASTING Childhood Fantasy... even as an ADULT, you still HOLD it...?

My dream is to live in my own Palace of Ice, and I myself as the Snow Queen! Not an evil Queen of course... well, perhaps cunning enough to set winter all the time. And plus, cold temperature all over my palace could somehow preserve my natural beauty, an eternal youth! LoL!!

I prefer cold climate to warm one, and I enjoy winter than summer all the time ^_^ . I really wish I could control the Cold Weather and Blizzard. My element is definitely Water and if somehow I have the power of Ice Storm and Sub-Zero temperature....

Well. my Palace of Ice and my figure as Snow Queen would be such legendary. My Palace is magically hidden and only those with pure heart and noble intention could ever discover it.
