As a disabled person I was taught that I could go where ever I wanted and to do what I wanted as long as I respected others. So why would I let anyone keep me off of a forum for people like me?? People are always telling us where we can go by setting up obstacles in our way why should be let it happen on the net??

I doubt it. Most of the questions aren't "slamming the disabled." There's some, of course. Which doesn't bother me--I'll be glad to rip them a new one--anytime, anywhere! :)

In all seriousness--I hope the occasional bigot doesn't discourage anyone. You see the trash on any board--and the thing to do is to ignore them unless you fee like coming up with a creative way of telling them to go to hell that is within the Y/A rules.

Sometimes i am feeling hesitant about yes. Because I know there always someone out there wanting to make a remark BUT sometimes i do it just so I can prove to them that I dont care. But somedays you dont want to deal with it!
You know....But we arent disabled. the only reason people say this are people who arent and have no idea. Because if they knew they wouldent call us something that means unable to....

Is it about slamming? I haven't noticed more slamming here than elsewhere on Y!A. There are actually some very interesting questions here most of the time.
