The horse is a well-documented case study in evolution. The fossil record shows clear steps in the progression from four-toes small browsing animal- one of a line that gave rise to tapirs, rhinoceroses, and other mammals in addition to horses-to the modern horse......"

"Evolutionary History of the Modern Horse" Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia 2000

I was taught this, saw the chart that had all the horses on it, going from the smallest to the largest. Looked pretty impressive. My biology teacher believed every word of it.

"As the biologist Heriert-Nelson said, 'The family tree of the horse is beautiful and continuous only in textbooks'. and the famous palantologist Niles Eldredge called the textbook picture 'lamentable' and 'a classical case of paleontological museology'.

For me, this was when my friend, Susan Shilts, died from brain cancer on October 15th, 2006. She had found out the previous 3 months and was given a year, but succumbed quickly. She was about 60 and was my mentor growing up, and taught me that anger is not something good to hang onto and should always be forgiven and forgotten. Brain Cancer has been studied, but not so much that there is a ribbon for its awareness. As a result of her passing, I started to start buying things that contributed to charities and research, even if they cost more. Breast cancer, Heart Disease, AIDS, and whatever else I can. It's made me aware of how precious life is, and how much we should value those close to us because we never know when they are going to be gone. Has anything shaken you to your spirit that made you work for the better?

I want to grow in my walk with the Lord and I was wondering what is the difference between confessing your sins and repenting of your sins? Or are they the same? Thanks for your answers and God bless you.

The protestant church claimed that they cleansed the bible from 14 to 15 apocrypha books but they left the sex book of Solomon. "Song of Solomon". This book explains Solomon’s love affair with UNDERAGE girls. If the protestant church was inspired to remove those books, why the Holy Spirit didn’t tell them to remove abnormal sex book in holy book? If the bible consider holy, this book should be removed, and if the bible is a history book, then, this book remains. Was the protestant church mistaken and the Holy Spirit never inspired them to remove 14 books from the Old Testaments. King Solomon is perverted man, God regretted his blessing to Solomon. Solomon had 700 ungodly wives.

"Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned." - spell to remove guilt

"Lo tho' I travel through the valley of Death I will fear no evil." - Spell to increase courage.

"Our Father, who art in heaven..." - spell to enhance good luck.

Am I the only one who thinks there are more than a few christians who treat these as magic spells that they can chant to alter their reality?

"That your first duty is to denounce all other religious bodies? Joseph Rutherford, one of your founders, declared 'religion was introduced into the world by the devil.' 'For more than three years,' he declared, 'Jesus, continued to proclaim the truth and to warn the people against the practice of religion . . .. For religion dishonors and reproaches the name of Jehovah God.' According to him religion and Christianity are exactly opposite and opposed one to the other. "

Are there, and if so what, are the benifits to having a Gay Man as a Friend?

(Please try to be a bit more "deeper" than, he helps to pick out my clothes, or he is the only guy I can trust my girlfriend with, etc.)

Christians claim that God already knows the fate of every creature alive today? So God knew ahead of time that I would become an Atheist and that I will end up burning for eternity in the lake of fire? Why did he bother then to waste his energy creating me to begin with...if I'll just end up backstroking into the lake? I don't remember being asked to participate in this little charade from the very beginning, you know.

I don't have the guts to tell them to turn it down. In the past, I've asked neighbors to turn their loud music or TV down, & from that moment until I moved out, they made SURE they tortured me.

I love Jesus' teachings, but I disagree with most of the theology of modern Christianity. Is there some religion that admires his teachings and doesn't focus too much on things like virgin births and miracles?

I just saw an answer where a lady said that if a fertilised embryo does not attach itself, so an abortion naturally occurs or if a child is stillborn, this is a result of original sin!!

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AuHjBb.Z9rkILvmhug9LqPTsy6IX?qid=20070801182129AA0a2g5&show=7#profile-info-nCw3Jvumaa

LMAO!!!

So miscarriages happen because Eve and Adam ate from the tree of KNOWLEDGE!!!!!

The biblical god is still punishing innocent babies because knowledge is bad?

Is that what "original sin" is?

And some people actually worship this monster?

yeah, i've posted the same question twice. ("should we kick illegal aliens out or not?") first time, some tard (probably an illegal alien) flagged it. then the second time i had a bunch of answers. then someone flags it two weeks later. it DOES NOT violate any TOS or anything. is it me, or is someone avoiding the truth? or is it that there are illegal aliens working for yahoo? must be.

besides, it's just a question. don't get your panties in a bunch.
flagging a question about kicking illegal aliens out is like flagging a question entitled "why am i so short?" or "why is the world round, not flat?"

so, answer my question------one and for all

should we kick illegal aliens out? hence the word "illegal" used in this sentence, not taking it out of context!

america, yes was formed by aliens, not illegal, though. when the Brits arrived, it wasn't an established country with a Constitution. so it wasn't illegal. what's your out take on this?

"Fishes are considered to be the most primative living vertabrate .............similarites in structure and embryological development show that fishes and modern inverabrate chordates PROBABLY DID EVOLVE from common invertabrate ancestors that lived many millions of years ago "

BIOLOGY, Miller and Levine, 2000, page 680

There is not one single intermediate in the text book to support this claim. And the phrase PROBABLY DID EVOLVE that's not science, but speculation.

Does anyone agree with me, if they have proof, they should show it, and not make and wild, unsubstantiate claims, especially in a science text book?
