Christians claim that God already knows the fate of every creature alive today? So God knew ahead of time that I would become an Atheist and that I will end up burning for eternity in the lake of fire? Why did he bother then to waste his energy creating me to begin with...if I'll just end up backstroking into the lake? I don't remember being asked to participate in this little charade from the very beginning, you know.

I agree. It's like, I didn't ask to be born--know one came to me, wherever I was and said, "You have two choices. You can be born, live your life, and go to Hell, or you can just not be born at all. What do you pick?"

That sort of reminds me of something I began to wonder a while back--"What is better, to do nothing wrong, or to do something wrong, and learn from it?"

I look at it this way: if you were told that you could a) have a child, and it would live a life of agony and pain, or b) not have a child at all, ANY good parent wouldn't have a child.

So why would God choose to create those whom he knew would face eternal pain and suffering? My explanation; there IS no God.

Not all Christians claim that God knows the fate of every creature alive. A great many disagree with that idea.

God did not create you, you were pro-created by your parents. And this was not a waste of anyone's energy.
(I hope your parents agree with that.)

Becoming an Atheist was your choice and as long as you are alive you can change your choice.

Even if you stay an Atheist, you will not burn forever in the lake, you may even be granted a resurrection, and maybe have one more chance to tell God that you don't believe in Him.
If not, then the lake, which represents eternal non-existence.
Notice in the book of Revelation that death and hades (hell) are also thrown into the lake.
It means that those things will never exist again. It obviously does not mean torture because you cannot torture death or the grave (hades).

No that's not right!

Yes, He knew that you would be an Atheist, but it was your choice!

I used to have this sort of thinking before, like I was a robot because God already knew that I would do this, do that, say this, etc. But we're not. He knows it, but we have CHOICES. We can take this road or that road--it's just that He knows the future because He created you. It may seem like you're just a puppet or a robot, but you're not since you're alive.

And you have a choice now. It seems you believe in God. I encourage you to read the Bible! You don't have to end up going to Hell--repent and become a Christian and you will be saved from everlasting death! It is a choice--you are not a robot. Make the right decision. I WILL pray for you--I hope to see you in Heaven, friend.

Please, PLEASE feel free to contact me for anything.

You ask a question of a God you don't even believe in. It is almost impossible to go anywhere from that starting point. God is the only one who can really help you understand this truth. But God will answer you out of His own words. He explains, in great detail, why He went to the trouble of creating you and everyone else for that matter, and what purpose each of us has in His world.

Romans 9:22 What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience the vessels of wrath made for destruction,
23 in order to make known the riches of his glory for the vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory

Proverbs 16:The LORD has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.

You would fall into the wicked category, in that you do not currently believe in God, though that could change. But since you do not believe in God, but question Him, His existence, and His power, God included your rebuke in the Bible also. Isaiah 29:16 You turn things upside down!
Shall the potter be regarded as the clay; that the thing made should say of its maker, "He did not make me";
or the thing formed say of him who formed it,
"He has no understanding"?

I think that God went to all the trouble of creating man, good and evil, and 6,000 years of life to teach His chosen ones the difference between right and wrong, and then challenged them to do right. If they do right, He offered them eternal life. And He knew who it was that would receive this gift of eternal life before He even created Adam.

Because to Jesus, you are not a waste. Even if you were the only person to be created, He still would have died for you because He loves you that much! You do not have to go to hell, you choose to go by rejecting the Lord. it does not matter how bad you have sinned before you come to Christ. It doesn't matter how much of a royal mess your poor choices have made in your life. When God created you He saw who you "could be" if you trusted in Him, and when He was dying on the cross for you He still never lost sight of the man He created you for. I have learned through my own Christian walk that God made me not to just play out what He already knows, but so that I can know Him and who I am as His child. Discovering Him through obedience, trials, and when I stumble is a great joy of my faith because how can I possibly love Him without knowing Him? This life gives me that chance so that I can continue to learn when I get to heaven where our knowledge will be limitless.

You don't even know what's in your future. I've seen many hard people change their ways. I've seen what appeared to be solid Christian people change their ways too. You just never know what comes along and all of a sudden turns your belief system upside down. I do not know for sure that God knows the fate of all humans in the sense that they choose life or death. I know that when I had kids, they were going to do things I didn't like. They were going to disobey at times. How and when? I didn't know but I knew it was coming. Now their response to my correction and instruction is what I looked for most of all. Did they reject it or accept it? Perhaps that is how God is. I don't know for sure. But God does know the future and there will be plenty of evil to accomplish what he said would happen. There will be certain people that he turns over to sin and he'll allow the evil works of that person to accomplish God's works. He knows the future just like I knew my kids were going to go through certain things. This is my opinion, not scriptural.

They claim that because they are trying to put limits on God, by saying hes all knowing even to the end of the universe they are saying that he must know it all or else hes not God, which would go against the divine essence since it really shouldnt have to be put into constraints. But according to christians there is a chance for all people to be saved and according to them christ showed that by his death and resurection. You have free will and in the end you will choose to either become like them and go to heaven or be what you are and burn. Kinda like if your not with them your against them, I got a friend whos atheist and hes always talking about these things.

God is a gentleman and gives us the opportunity to choose who we will serve. By the way, your life is not over and you don't know what will happen with your beliefs--you could end up being a preacher some day--so it ain't over-til it's over. I have friends who never believed anything I said and they are now born again and living for the Lord--so don't under estimate the power of the Living God. He created you with a plan and that plan can be fulfilled if you just have a little faith.

I asked a question like this and according to the responses I got, the answer would be:
Because he wanted to give you a chance.

That, however, is stupid in itself because you are still going to be an atheist no matter what.

to the person above me: god tries hard to make atheists come to him? isn't he interfering with free will then?

Well, did you know that one day you'd be asking yourself this question and reexamining your beliefs, I'm sure He did, and through questions that really challenge your thinking, and so much more, he tests us, and there is always a chance through any of these experiences to find Him and get to know Him, and soon spending eternity with Him, and no matter what you do, you are one of His children, and He will love you no matter what, so even if you knew one of your kids would say, do something bad, you wouldn't snuff out their existence just like that, because there is always a chance they will change.
Well I hope this helps.
God bless...
