Following up on my previous question . . .

If I hold a rock in my hand, and say "this is a rock," I have made a statement of fact. It's not cheese, it's a rock, and my direct observation of its "rockness" is the only proof I need.

If I say "George Washington existed, led the colonial army in the American Revolution, and was the first President of the USA," this is ALSO a statement of fact, borne out by ample physical documentation of the period, including eyewitness accounts.

If I say "many of the processes which comprise evolution are still happening today and can be measured, tested, and empirically observed" this is a statement of FACT. You can look it up for yourselves. If I say "that proves the theory of evolution is correct" that's a conjecture, but it's a highly scientific conjecture and part of the scientific method.

If I say "my ancestors worshipped X godhs in Y fashion and viewed the world as Z" . . . these are also FACTS.

So where does faith fit in to all this?

Of course the name doesnt have to be Jesus... and doesnt have to look like the one in the photos... but how would you know if Jesus walked right infront of you today? Would you be looking for unexplainable miracles? How would you believe that it was him? What evidence would you need? Would you soley rely on the bible on the description of the "next (3rd?)coming". Remember... 2000+ year ago people were a bit sceptic aswell... not everyone believed.

Its just a matter of faith

It's just a theory, after all and it conflicts with the account of the ascension in Revelation.

We are told by the Bible that Jesus appeared to hundreds of people.

We therefore know that it is OK for Jesus to appear to people -- it does not take away their free will, for example -- because it was OK for Jesus to appear to hundreds of other people.

We know that it would be easy for Jesus to appear to everyone all through history, since Jesus is all-powerful and timeless.

We know that, if Jesus did reappear to everyone, it would be incredibly helpful. We could all know, personally, that Jesus is resurrected and that Jesus is God. If Paul (and all the other people in the Bible) needed a personal visit to know that Jesus was resurrected, then why not you and me?

Yet, we all know that Jesus has not appeared to anyone in 2,000 years

if youre so convinced we came from monkeys, then can you explain why we are more like cats & dogs?(girls/cats, boys/dogs)ya so we do seem monkeyish to, STILL, what about the cat/dog thing? & how did we go from acting like monkeys to acting like cats/dogs.what changed our attitudes there? are u gunna tell me our attitudes evolved 2? havent u ever noticed that evolutionists are always GUESSING & making up theories but creationists dont have 2 do any guessing??
& if youre so convinced the "discovery of fire" is what made our "monkey hair" disappear, then why do we still have the pubic hair? or any other hair 4 that matter?

there is plenty of proof that God exists, you just dont seem 2 wanna accept that.(rainbows-first created rite after the flood 4 instance.) & what're ya gunna say if u found Noah's Ark??

Do you believe the Bible to be exhaustive...that everything that happened or could of happened in the past or the future is addressed in the Bible?

If it is not exhaustive, can it be infallible?

I have to say this because it is what I normally tell my new friends who find out about my practices.
Since Witches consciously, and on purpose, use high 'intention' in our craft does that not mean those who use intention UNCONSCIOUSLY are not also Witches?
People, ignorant of the true meaning of Witchcraft, intentionally curse each other every day, Gossip, a very mild form of cursing, is used, as well as 'hoping some one ????' hating another, etc. The list goes on and on and on. Even well wishing, helping others, praying, etc. is smart Witchcraft.
Just because we Witches are on purpose, selective, and consciously conger up through intentional aligning properties, the energies of, for our magic only makes us adept in the craft. So those who use witchcraft without knowing it - EVERYBODY - hurt each other and I dare say, a hell of a lot more than us wise ones who know better.
But, people do love fairy tales enough to live by them, don't they?
Your thoughts?

It is out of control the way certan guys treat women on the streets as if we are supposed to like it. Like we are supposed to be ok with whatever they call us. This is mainly because rappers portray women in their lyrics "and" videos in a derrogatory and "unreal" way. All women are not video girls and it is especially hard for us, African American women, to be looked at in a positive way, because of this...

What do you think?

Martin Luther introduced into Christianity the idea that man can have a personal relationship with God.

Until then this notion was considered to be heresy in Christianity.

Martin Luther studied Islam and believed Islam was the chastisement of GOD upon Christiandom for its sins............ so he obviously saw some things he liked.

the church was behind the murder of their Lord? They don't like the religion that killed Jesus, but they are supporting the institution that killed him.

Do you think that it is possible that Elvis faked his death and is living as an ordinary citizen under an assumed name. Considering that Elvis had accumalated a large amount of money, I think that it is possible that he could have faked his death, because he got burned out with always being in the spotlight.
This a serious question. Idiotic answers will be reported.

I guess i need help understanding. What does it mean when people say Christ is the savior? I know they say, he died for our sins. But how can a man save humanity? Is it that Christ is not just a man, but is a piece of god? For lemans terms, meaning me, did got take a piece of his body and make a son with his powers to save us?
