Jesus paid the price to atone for our sins. This is the restoration to God. Our sins have separated us from God. While we were yet in our sins, Christ died on the cross of Calvery for us.
When one is born of God, born of His Spirit, cleansed by His blood, joint heirs with King Jesus & part of the family of God; Then we have a personal relationship with GOD. Because the Holy Spirit bears witness in our new born spiritman that we can pray to our Father in heaven or to Jesus Chris our Lord 24/7. When we sin, we confess our sin to Jesus. He is faithful & just to forgive us our sins & make us right.
Islam doesn't provide a personal relationship with God. Only Jesus Christ atonement for our sins does. And restoration is foundational in Christianity. So? I pray to God daily because of Jesus Christ my Lord who atoned for my sin. Islam never atoned for my sin.
There is no provision for restoration with God in Islam. Just do this & that or don't do this & that; or hell, is the gospel of Islam. It is works to achieve & to hope one is good enouph to not go to hell. There is no daily blessed assurance made available to Muslims.
I think there are some falsified historical reports about Martin Luther. Just like there are apocryphal of the Gospel.
Islam isn't the chastisment of God on Christians. That is a lie. Many true born again Christians filled with the love & joy of God have been killed in the name of Islam. One recent example is the taliban who killed the Pastor of the missionary team who went to Aphganistan to provide help for some in the hospital. Look at that persons picture & you can see the love & joy of God. He wasn't killed to be chastised. No. He receives a crown of life that is a special crown & one to rule & reign with Christ in the Millinnium.

Just because an idea or a practice has been accepted by Protestantism, does not necessarily make Martin Luther the origin of it. There are many things in Protestantism that did not originate from Martin Luther and I am sure he would never embrace. The idea of a Personal Relationship with God in Christianity has more of an origin in the Second Great Awakening. Which occured about 300 years after Martin Luther's life. I would like to see your documentation, crediting Martin Luther which such an idea.

There are several things Islam and Protestants share, including no statues in Churches, no drinking, dancing in the case of some denominations of Christians. Some of the Christians such as the Unitarians do not believe in the divinity of Christ. Others want to re-adapt themselves to the kosher or halaal laws (which differ in some details, but largely forbid the eating of blood, and flesh of unclean animals).
Martin Luther had either translated or possessed the Quran with a German translation.
Many Western scientists of that period had to hide their sources of information which were largely from the Muslim scholars or books.

Martin Luther introduced this into Christianity after reading the Scriptures. Prior to that, most Christians had never read the bible, since it was only available in Greek, Hebrew, and Latin.
While he may have studied Islam, I don't think he found much benefit in it since it doesn't acknowledge the triune God that Christianity does.

Martin Luther and Calvin look the typical impacts at present crop of Fundies. Intolerance, slender mindedness, judgement, sin, sin, sin. Jesus himself seems to be like getting very nearly sidelined interior the technique, different than as a recognition to incant on each occasion they experience the might desire to provide themselves some style of credibility. "What might jesus do" is under no circumstances responded with the aid of "he'd kick the rich militaristic arseholes the hell out of his temple and invite some social outcasts in" yet particularly with the aid of "he's rattling you all to hell for being human" and that i don't know a lot approximately Paul, so i won't be in a position to somewhat remark on that. different than to declare that considering the fact that he's one in all the interpreters of the existence of Jesus, including his very own 2 bits and implementing his very own meanings on all of it....he probable have been given all of it incorrect!!

Actually I believe that Luther was inspired by these passages:
Rom 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the works of the Law.
Heb 4:16 Therefore let us come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
The catholic church, which he was a part of, taught/teaches unbiblical theology (man's doctrine). He may have studied other religions, but it was from the holy scriptures that he got his ideas.

It was only heresy to the Roman Catholics. The belief of having a personal relationship with God dates back to Adam

There are things I like about Islam as well.
That does not mean that I am going to become Muslim or that I deny the divinity of Jesus.
Muhammad was influenced by Jesus as well.
Peace be with you.

Actually the Muslims are far more like the atheists.....since both REJECT Jesus as the Messiah and Son of God.
You are VERY mistaken in what Martin Luther believed...He believed Jesus is Messiah and Son of God....
