We are told by the Bible that Jesus appeared to hundreds of people.

We therefore know that it is OK for Jesus to appear to people -- it does not take away their free will, for example -- because it was OK for Jesus to appear to hundreds of other people.

We know that it would be easy for Jesus to appear to everyone all through history, since Jesus is all-powerful and timeless.

We know that, if Jesus did reappear to everyone, it would be incredibly helpful. We could all know, personally, that Jesus is resurrected and that Jesus is God. If Paul (and all the other people in the Bible) needed a personal visit to know that Jesus was resurrected, then why not you and me?

Yet, we all know that Jesus has not appeared to anyone in 2,000 years

Jesus hasn't appeared because god has him in eternal "time-out" due to his exploits during his last earthly appearance. God never authorized anything Jesus or his followers said or did, so in order to keep people from making the mistake of actually believing that crap (without messing with free-will, mind you) he simply removed all traces of Jesus' existence and barred Jesus from returning to Earth. Right now, Jesus is in a corner by himself and has to wait until people stop believing that stuff about hell and the devil and salvation by eating him and drinking his blood before he can come out. Unfortunately, he unintentionally extended his own punishment by telling his followers to tell even more people, and despite all evidence to the contrary, people still fall for it. Kids do dumb things. You'd think that he'd be smart enough to know that he can't just show up at his dad's office and tell everybody to take the day off. What was he expecting, a hug and a cookie? I know, I was there when it happened.

Actually he has appeared to someone. In the year 1820 a young boy was confused about religion and wanted to know which one he should join. He knew that all of the churches in his are could not be right because they all disagreed in there teachings. One day while studying in the Book of James he read James’s council to ask God if he lacked wisdom to ask God. After pondering on the subject for some time He decided to pray and ask God which church he should join. He described the answer he received as follows. "I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me. ... When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other—This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!" That day God the Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith and revealed to him many wonderful truths. Ten years later under the direction of God the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was organized. The adversary did not like that, and he stirred up the hearts of men to try and destroy the Kingdom of God. hundreds in not thousands of innocent people, including men, women and children, were slain by mobs running the Saints of God out of their homes. The governor of the state of Missouri ended up signing an extermination order forcing the members of God's church out of the state. That law remained on the Missouri law books until 1976. After the lies and hatred were spread as far as Washington DC the government told the Church to get out, and so the early church members set their sights on, what was then part of Mexico, the Salt Lake valley. But despite all of this opposition the Church carried on and now prospers in a letter to a news paper editor in 1842 The Prophet Joseph Smith prophesied, "The Standard of Truth has been erected; no unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear; till the purposes of God shall be accomplished, and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done."

No, that is incorrect. The Lord Jesus Christ, along with the Father, appeared to Joseph Smith in the spring of 1820. The Lord appeared several times subsequent to that momentous event to Joseph Smith and the apostles while they were in the temples.

I am fully confident that the Lord appears today to His prophets and apostles.

Jesus next appearance( this is in the Bible) is the day of judgment when he comes to collect his bride the church and to judge the lost....

he does not do a private show for the Mormons in their temple....

and he did not appear to Joesph smith....that was"supposedly the angel Moroni"...it was the fallen angel Satan with a very good deception...

and they "claim" to still have visitations...Satan is the fallen angel of light...a liar and deceiver..

Any thing out side of what the Bible states is false teachings...

He has, but noone ever believes it, so noone speaks about it. we have a tendency to label people. even if Jesus were to appear to hundreds of people at a time (and He will), most people wouldn't believe it was Him. read the bible- His own disciples didn't immediately recognize Him after the resurection. we ''know'' that couldn't possibly happen. we don't always know what we claim to know.

Christ has appeared to people in the last 2,000 year, Lots of people, I think. I believe, for one, that He appeared to Joseph Smith in 1820 after Joseph has been studying and praying for a long time. It was probably one of the last things he expected to happen! lol...

Here's the story, if you really want to know...
