I'm sure it is correct, to an extent. There are enduring moral values, and there are some that relate to society and culture. But I have never heard an atheist that is as morally relativist as Christians when they discuss the Old Testament.

Christians, if you disagree, please discuss the attitude toward slavery in the bible, OT and NT, and what you think of the practice today. After that tell us whether people should be put to death for working on Saturday, and whether women should offer two turtles or pigeons to the priests each month to atone for the impure act of menstruation, and whether or not you wear clothes of blended fabrics.

The Tannaïtic Midrash Sifre to Numbers in §157 comments on the above quoted commandment of MOSES to kill the Midianite women as well as the male children...."

"....According to the Tannaïte Rabbis, MOSES therefore had ordered the Israelites to kill all women older than three years and a day, because they were [virgins and] "suitable for having sexual relations." [138]...."

"Said Rabbi Joseph, "Come and take note: A girl three years and one day old is betrothed by intercourse....."

"A girl three years old may be betrothed through an act of sexual intercourse," the words of R. Meir. And sages say, "Three years and one day old."....."

Said Rabbi Joseph, "Come and take note: A girl three years and one day old is betrothed by intercourse. And if a Levir has had intercourse with her, he has acquired her.….. If one of those who are unfit for marriage with her had intercourse with her, he has rendered her unfit to marry into the priesthood. If any of those who are forbidden in the Torah to have intercourse with her had intercourse with her, he is put to death on her account, but she is free of responsibility [M.Nid. 5:4].

Under God's direction, Moses' army defeats the Midianites. They kill all the adult males, but take the women and children captive as sex slaves. The Jews got 32,000 VIRGINS as female sex slaves.

3 YEAR OLD girls were suitable for sexual relations.

It seems that the people who asked the most challenging questions have all had their accounts deleted or just disappeared.

Even good trolling questions seem few and far between these days.

I really miss people like Father Guido & Hot Carl, but there's many others who asked great questions that are now gone.

Somehow, I feel a sense of loss..........my wife has expressed similar feelings.

Although I must say, it's nice to see Deke back.

Has the heart been ripped out of R&S with all the account deletions?

As a Christian, the bible is my gauge. So for vanity's sake, I feel that it's wrong.

Proof that Islam can co-exist with other faiths very easily.

In Islam, Muslim men can marry Christian or Jewish women and they are under no compulsion to EVER change their faith.

Even to this day the wife of Yasir Arafat has kept her Christian religion.

We know Islam can bring peace between the three Abrahamic faiths since Muslims ruled Jerusalem for over 1,000 years and all three faiths worshipped together and all religious buildings were protected as per Islamic Shariah.

Right now in addition to my own faith I've started studying about others. It helps to understand people I believe. It makes for great dialog.
