Some people see God and Jesus as one entity, some as two and some as three (the trinity: father, son and holy spirit).

Unless you see them as one in the same, God would be the creator and eternal in both directions of time (past and future). Jesus would be his son and eternal -- but not the creator or existing in the beginning.

These questions carry their own problems and points to a fundamental contradiction with God spawning another (or other) God(s) -- like Jesus, for instance.

I think that "Jehovah" is just a name for God in the Bible.

Yeah, Jehovah is the Father os Jesus and so is He the creator of the world. View it like this: God is the Sun and the Holy Spirit is the heat and Jesus is the light. They all work as one. Or another way to look at it would be a team. They are a team of three. They make up one team. Jehovah (God) in the Bible is the true God. Not sure about the fourth question though.

If you are going to speak Hebrew, speak Hebrew. If you are speaking English, speak English. Jehovah is God's Name in English. It does not matter that Hebrew does not have a "j". English does.

YHWH is unpronouceable. "Yahweh" is the modern invention of men. It's surprising that those who say Jehovah is a 15th century invention hold onto "Yahweh" which is a 19th century invention.

There is absolutely NO ancient Hebrew manuscript that has "Yahweh" or "Yahuwah" in it. These are all inventions.

Jehovah, at least, follows the natural progression of the English language, and follows the pointing of the existing Masoretic texts. Karaite Jews pronounce it as "Yehovah."

Jesus is not Jehovah. He is Jehovah's only-begotten Son. "For God so loved the world, that he *gave* his *only-begotten Son*, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16 KJV)

The Lord Jesus Christ told us to pray to the Father, in his name.

The word "Jehovah " is a translation of three hebrew words which when put together who sound as that pronounciation.The meaning of the 3 words refers to the everlasting nature of Our Maker.
As per Biblical description ,Humans are not able to conceive The Form of our Creators,but does state that He has Form.
Hence What call Jehovah in English is really a description of One Who is the same in the present,the same in the past ,and the same in the future (everlasting).
The New testament description of Jehovah is outlined in the Book of Hebrews Chapter 13 verse 8.
In the Hebrew confession of faith it is stated as follows;
Hear oh Israel Jehovah (Elohenu)our God is a compound Unity.
It is our Creator that came down on earth in the form of a Man Whom we call Jeshuah(Jesus in Greek)to humble himself and pay the price for the sinfulness of mankind(our sinfulness).
Therefore ;when one prays to Jehovah ,he is actually praying to Jesus(which means God heals)
Elohim(God) is the way and the life and is the reality in our life.
Hence Jesus is Elohim,the Holy Spirit is Elohim and the Father is Elohim.
Jesus says in the Gospels ; " I am the truth "=means there is no other. As it is written in Isaia 43 verses 11-13.

Jehovah is a tranlation of the Hebrew word "YWHW". It is one of the Names used for God in the Old Testament.

It has been a tradition amoung the Jewish people not to speak the word "YWHW" for over 2,500 years. Rather the substitue the word "Adonia" (which means "Lord") when the word has to be spoken.

As no one is sure today how to say or translate the word "YWHW", the Christians have followed the tradition of using the word "Lord" instead. In most Bible you will find "YWHW" translated as "LORD", with all the letters captilized. In the handful of places where "Adonia" and "YWHW" are used together, it is translated as "Lord GOD", since Lord LORD would not make sense.

The spelling of "Jehovah" for the word "YWHW" comes from the late Middle Ages. The Jewish would write the word "YWHW" with letters from Adonia inserted into it to remind them to pronounce Adonia, not "YWHW". The resulting mixture of the two words gives us the English Jehovah. Jehovah is found a handful of times in the KIng James translation where :"YWHW" is used as part of a longer name.

"YWHW" is one of the names or titles of the True God. While most of the others (God, Lord, etc) are presented as title, YHWH appears several times as if it is a proper name. And at other times as a title. So it can be considered the (or at least "a") Name of God.

The name "YWHW" is applied to the Creator. In Genesis chapter 2 it speaks of him as "YWHW Elohim" or LORD God. (Elohim is Hebrew for God). The Bible also states in several places that Jesus was the Creator of the universe. See John 1:1-5 for one example.

"YHWH" is also applied to Jesus in other scriptures. Psalms 110:1 is an example. According to Hebrews 1:13 this is a reference to Jesus. See also Isaiah 12:2, Psalms 118:14 - realizing that the Hebrew word "salvation" is the same as the name Jesus. Isaiah 9:6 speaks of YWHW as being "the Might God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace (Jesus), and the Wonderul Counselor (Holy Spirit)". So the name YHWH is applied throughout scripture to all three persons of the Trinity.

Do Jehovah's Witnesses pray to Jesus? No. They reject that belief that Jesus is God or YHWH. They see him as a created being who is lower then God. This is a direct contradiction of Phillipians 2:5-11, which states that Jesus was an equal with God, became human for a time, and then returned to a position of equality with God.
