Here is the Bible explanation;
By 'ghosts' if you mean a part of people that survives death...there are no such things.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5-6) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.

But as for demons...They do exist.
In Matthew ch. 8 and Luke ch. 8 the story of Jesus ordering the demon/s out of the man. And them asking to be ALLOWED to go into the herd of pigs. In both records, the demons themselves prove that Jesus is NOT Almighty God, but the SON of God. a clear separation. In this important matter, even demons tell the truth.
Why Jesus./ because it is Jesus who is the one to banish them to the pit .
(Revelation 20:3) And he hurled him into the abyss and shut [it] and sealed [it] over him, that he might not mislead the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After these things he must be let loose for a little while.

Kinda. It's like revealing a magician's secrets. It takes all the magic out of it.

But then there are some like me, who think the real explanation is often just as amazing as the magical one.
