He talked with spirits, He healed the sick, He prayed, He meditated, He loved. For goodness sake, shouldn't we emulate this behavior and tap the source of Goodness for all humanity?

Some seem to label it virtuous. Is it really? Should you believe anything you hear? Would that make you a saint? Does one need recognition from one´s neighbors on who believes the most without proof?
Does that sound reasonable to you?
Do you want to just follow the crowd because everybody else does it?
Can you even justify that to yourself in your own brain?

...or gods?
Christians believe that Jesus is the only God and that He is the physical presence of the Trinity whilst God the Father is the mind of God and God the Holy Ghost is the Spirit of God.

This is no different than people. We all have a body, mind, and spirit. Do Mormons think that our body, mind, and spirit are three different people? Do they think that God's Body, Mind, and Spirit are three different people? When Christ founded the Roman Catholic Church He knew what He was talking about but when Joseph Smith Jr. started the Mormon church recently in the nineteenth century he clearly didn't look at all angles.

I am a catholic and my father has always been an atheist, which I respect a lot. He has always been a real caring father, respectful and always wanting to help people. I am very happy he is my father and if I was to be born again, I wished he was my parent again.

What do you think is the purpose of people like him in this world? What do you think is going to happen with him after he dies?

Please..no atheists answering this question :)

Thanks for your opinion

Sistas: This makes me SICK. Ever since slavery other Black women have used the lightness or darkness of others skin as means for taunting. Sororities have split up (AKA and Delta), friends and families torn apart, all for the sake of two Black women being disgustingly vain. Now here we are, hundreds of years later, STILL segregating each other by the incontrollable means of skin!? Do you know how much SHAME that should bring to you? Do you know how much Black blood was shed for that same subject? Yet, Black women continue to do it? Why? Do you really think the color of your skin judges your character as a Black woman? Would you be proud of your daughter if she went out and only had light/dark skinned friends because the others weren't pretty enough? Do you think that those women who lost a part of themselves, were beaten, ostracized, and lonely because of the color of their skin would feel good if they came back here? And it's BLACK women contributing to the stupidity? Why sista? Why

I am in a weird rut where I beleive all of this came from somewhere, BUT I don't beleive anyone is watching over me. But I still want to be Jewish. How do I explain to people that I can still be a Jew and agnostic at the same time!

Whether you wanted to influence them or on the contrary whether you wanted to respect their free will:

Would you:
a) Talk directly to them, no surprise, a pure show of benevolent power? (or maybe evil?)
b) Upgrade your Sacred Book once in a while, so everybody would talk about the same page? (And would agree on the same interpretation)
c) Instill doubts into their minds about your existence (through some damned atheists *lol*) to play with their feelings and enjoy discorde, destruction and war?
d) Send signals and clues like in some tedious riddle games to see if they are smart enough to understand them, then choose the worthiest of them for some reward?
e) Leave breadcrumbs of information in a metaphorical maze, playing with them at will, creating floods, earthquakes, etc?
f) would you do something else? What?
Would you care to answer to every prayer? How would you do that?
Why would you act the way you chose in your answer?
Please elaborate on your reasons.
Thank you.

by intolerant I mean stringent Islamic based laws on personal affairs (Islamic based marriage and divorce laws; Saudi Arabia sexist laws; laws interfering in the private life; intolerance of homosexuality and "pagan religions") As an atheist, what about separation of church from state; freedom from religion?

The "majority of people there are Muslims" argument is unsatisfactory. If minorities came into the West in the 1920s, Christian, nuclear family age - would that justify a Christian theocracy?

any mormon that's read my answers on R&S should know that i do not agree with LDS scripture/theology/beliefs. however, one thing i very much like about your church is the focus on family. i think family is the fabric of society. i also like that you raise youth to be upstanding citizens and good decision makers. there, so after all my criticism, i do think this aspect of your church is deserving of much respect. would anyone else like to share something they like about the LDS? mormons, is there something you like about avg. mainstream christians?

That's a really interesting argument that disproves hell, but near the middle I noticed that it says Revelations already happened. I'll put it under additional details.
My question is: When was the wedding feast and what is the new Jerulsalem?

Ok how about this:

Let's say you tried to commit suicide by shooting yourself, and the gunshot didn't kill you immediately, and while being rushed to the hospital you had a change of heart, and repented for trying to commit suicide....
but you didn't get to the hospital in time, and died on the way...

would you still go to hell?

I have watched a few documantaries on the history and Pbs channels that discussed about John and his book. The experts in question mentioned that John suffered froma mental illness, and he was describing in his book events that happened in his own times , HIS FEAR, AND PATHOLOGICAL ILLNESS made him histerical in describing those events already happened. Historians and other experts were also warning us that if people actually believe in those things as events that have yet to come, they might make them happen AS A SELF FULLFILLING PROPHESY.

I wanted to watch those videos again, but I DO NOT REMEBER THE TITLE, does anyone know? I really want to buy those dvd's, and educate some of my friends that believe that crap.
thanks

Please, no circular logic (this means don't quote scripture to "prove" your point). I'm looking for a logical, scientific explanation for why Christians assume they're right and every other religion is wrong.
