He talked with spirits, He healed the sick, He prayed, He meditated, He loved. For goodness sake, shouldn't we emulate this behavior and tap the source of Goodness for all humanity?

Sophie...he meditated and prayed in the Garden before his arrest. Many times he went to isolate himself to contemplate/pray/meditate.

The only spirits Jesus talked with were:
1. His Father, God
2. Satan,the devil, only to rebuke him
3. demons,and only to cast them out
So if we are going to be like Jesus we don't
try and contact "Ascended Masters" for advice,
have discussions with them or "meditate" on them
because they are evil!
Read about Apostle Paul when those "psychic" girls,
who made money from telling fortunes,
were following him around saying
"Listen to this man". That sounded OK, but
Paul knew they were influenced by demon
spirits, and cast the demons that gave them
some ability to tell fortunes, out of the girls.
It made their father angry, because he was making
money off them!
Jesus didn't tell us to "be psychic". He told us to
go tell people about Him, not about what their
fortune may be, or some message from demons.
That "Source of Goodness" can be a lying spirit.
Sylvia Browne, one of the most renowned psychics,
crapped in her own hat last year when she made
the prediction live on a radio show that all the trapped
miners up in WV would get out alive.
Soon after they proved that even while she made
that prediction, most of them were already dead.
So "being psychic" is not following Jesus and
living a godly life, it's fooling around with demon
spirits, and we don't know what they will do!

The Spiritual gifts (as you cite) are given in 1 Corinthians 12.
The difference between Jesus and psychic is that Jesus drew from the power of the Father and the Holy Spirit.
Psychics and mediums draw their power from the powers of the dark side of the spirit realm.

The Holy Spirit gives us the ability and authority to speak to demons and expect them to leave...not to keep them around for long conversations.
The Holy Spirit is the ONLY True Spirit that is GOOD...for it is God's OWN Holy Ghost/Spirit. Why do we need any other "spirit"?
Yes, He prayed, healed the sick, and loved...but He did not "meditate".....He prayed silently with the Holy Spirit speaking to God... very different from what human beings whom do not have the Holy Spirit try to mimic. satan has power too...as do each of his followers... but whereas God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit only want GOOD, satan wants to DESTROY that good.

** When I need to "think things over" i am not alone with my thoughts but talking to God as I weigh things out in my mind... or praying within my mind in my personal tongue...which does NOT have to be vocal, lol...mutes have used this for generations, lol... But, this is NOT meditation... no mantra's, no set scripts to speak, nothing like that...no humming, etc.,.
We don't need to have that...we have it everywhere we are, it's just that it's nice to be alone and not interrupted from what we are thinking or praying about. :)

He talked with spirits? He meditated? All I remember is His casting demons out of people. Being psychic calls dark powers from Satan, not power from God.

Jesus was God incarnate. All that he did was to give glory to God and lead people to salvation.
Many psychics use their abilities for good...but not for God. They use them to predict the future, which is forbidden in the Bible. We are to trust God for all things and not seek out psychics to tell us the future.

its bad only if ur not getting the ability from Jesus..like if u r able to see visions and do miracles and things and prophecy like with prophets from the Bible then its good because God is giving u the ability to do those things. but if its not from God, then its bad cuz because u shouldnt be getting it from neone besides God,

I thought Jesus asked that we should be like him ... do what he does... heal others etc ?
to me thats what he was doing ... tapping into that wonderful source
