Whether you wanted to influence them or on the contrary whether you wanted to respect their free will:
Would you:
a) Talk directly to them, no surprise, a pure show of benevolent power? (or maybe evil?)
b) Upgrade your Sacred Book once in a while, so everybody would talk about the same page? (And would agree on the same interpretation)
c) Instill doubts into their minds about your existence (through some damned atheists *lol*) to play with their feelings and enjoy discorde, destruction and war?
d) Send signals and clues like in some tedious riddle games to see if they are smart enough to understand them, then choose the worthiest of them for some reward?
e) Leave breadcrumbs of information in a metaphorical maze, playing with them at will, creating floods, earthquakes, etc?
f) would you do something else? What?
Would you care to answer to every prayer? How would you do that?
Why would you act the way you chose in your answer?
Please elaborate on your reasons.
Thank you.

A. I would talk directly to them. even if they didnt want to hear it cause I relise that humans are stupid, easaly lead a stray and need constant supervision contact and care in order to survive and be obedent to me. I would also bribe them. if they did something that particularly apealed to me I would reward them if they disobeyed me the punishment would be swift and obviose and I would tell those around the punishee verbaly why that person was being punished so that there would be no misunderstandings

I kind of like spookyooky's answer...God really only talks to the nutjobs. And sometimes the nutjobs are hard of hearing so they have to read a book.
I've probably crossed a line here but geez, the fact that god only contacted man when man's belief in gods and spirits was central to his understanding of how things worked sounds a bit fishy to me. Why doesn't God take out ads in the newspaper? Because he doesn't exist would seem to be the most obvious answer. Everything else is rationalization.
Edit: Oooo, post it notes mysteriously appearing on the fridge would be fun...diabolical, really.

Dear truth seeking friend,
Do you not yet realize that God has now become AS YOU NOW ARE, so that He can make you eventually perfect AS HE IS !! ?
God has sent (projected) into you a pure spirit Gift of his will within you to lovingly guide you and all sincere Truth seekers into all perfection. Be now the beloved son of God in Truth that you are ! Welcome Brother ! Behold our God in Spirit !
This is the "still small voice" which can only be discerned when a Supreme Spirit reBirth happens; usually that is later, after physical death, and with "you" as soul being repersonalized up on a Mansion World (invisible spheres to all human eyes) made for our rehabilitation and further ascension into a glorious spiritual destiny.
All humans here will eventually get one absolute experience in the Presence of God and Jesus (our Creator Father-Son of God here) to decide to Be eternalized in Spirit or to be not ...poof ...gone.
Peace and progress,
Brother Dave, a Jesusonian

the same way some evil god might be doing it now.... he's all knowing and wise so he takes different philosophies and turns them into thier own religions by taking on the form of people like jesus and muhammad and demons and some other people and gods and performing miracles and making proof of different things etc etc etc so that war and confusion breaks out and he can sit back and LAFF at it knowing no one knows the real god. but he isn't behind all the religions just some of them. he knows other ones will pop up on thier own. and he might be sending us all to a hell-type place when we die so he can further laff at our pain. so enjoy life while it lasts (i think if theres a god like this he's pretty genius)
I think if i were a nice god though i would talk directly and very clearly to people so there's no arguments about my existance... instead of talking to them through prophets and books.

God communicates with us by The Holy Spirit. Satan communicates withus through an unholy spirit. In order to unravel the two and tell them apart we MUST really want to. What stops us? Ambivalence. Most people who say they want to find God already have some kind of god in mind that they are looking for and are not interested in the real deal. God will absolutely make himself known to us if that truly is our desire.

I don't know if I would be much different than the way God in Heaven is only because the basis of true belief is through faith. I do have to admit that once in a while, when thing began to go really bad with mankind, I would yell at them in a deep voice (the way a father may from time to time yell at his children), just to see the scurry around trying to fix their errors.

I would communicate my message to the whole world and at the same time so there would be no mistake of what I said. Why pick just one person? Is there a communicating with your creation limit? Everyone hears it and there will be little confusion.

Did you see "Bruce Almighty" when Jim C tried to give everyone whatever they wanted?
That was hysterical.
I would speak to them through my heart, and I would hope that the ones who really loved me would know what I was saying. I would also use other people to speak to them, not psychics or anything, but their friends and loved ones.
I would also speak to them through the Bible. Different verses and psalms say something different to different people, according to what their needs are.
(It may not be clear to you, but it is to me. I think that is how God communicates to us now.)

I would communicate the way He does now. I would not give any more information about myself because the foundation of life is faith.
