Can you separate your hatred for another’s point of view from the person? Can you love the person without agreeing to all his/her philosophies or do you hate all who disagree with you?

who are dying through bombs, come on Muslims join us against this atrocity and we can bring an end to the slaughter of innocents by evil men , also as Muslims target Muslims with terorism is this not evidence there is a problem within Islam about conflict resolution and that is the problem, What has Britain done to Pakistanis that they want to mass murder Britis people. Better to seek answers within your own belief system than constantly blame someone else for your own problems

"I believe everything happens for a reason."

"I'll leave it in the hands of the almighty."

"What comes around goes around."

"If I pray hard enough, _____ will answer my prayer."

"I'll check my horoscope."

Why do people cling to the idea that there are unseen mystical forces at work in their lives? I honestly don't get it. I find the idea of surrendering control to something no one can prove, or to an incomprehensible force, or to the concept of fortune/luck/chance, far more frightening than the alternative - that we alone are responsible for what happens to each other, and this world. Magic is fine for entertainment, but after the show, you know it was all an act.

If you ask me, they're all just elaborate rationalizations to avoid the cold, hard, unpleasant realities of life.

Now watch, some clever person will say that god is using this forum and my atheist fingers to deliver his messages to people.

This is the question I posted:
Inter-Faith Series, Islam: Please justify this Sura?

“Whoever changes his Islamic religion, then kill him.” – Sura 10,94

Was it because there was no answer from the Muslim Community for more than 20 minutes?

I like to argue about the existence of a divine creator to theist. The only things I can't get past is when they say, GOD works in mysterious ways or GOD's plan is beyond our human minds to comprehend. Any thoughts on a comeback to that?

I graduated college 2 years early and never sent announcements. I am now moving to Las Vegas to finish my last two years of college and would like to send out announcements.

How do I send out the announcement without looking like I am just trying to get money for the move?

"Then I heard the LORD say to the other men, "Follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked. Show no mercy; have no pity! Kill them all – old and young, girls and women and little children. But do not touch anyone with the mark. Begin your task right here at the Temple." So they began by killing the seventy leaders. "Defile the Temple!" the LORD commanded. "Fill its courtyards with the bodies of those you kill! Go!" So they went throughout the city and did as they were told." (Ezekiel 9:5-7 NLT)

Why is there no religion section in such big-name news sites as cnn.com, foxnews.com, or cbsnews.com? Is this an implied commentary that "news" in religion is either (1) not important, or (2) not appropriate to be placed with other news?

Ok, I'm Buddhist and gay so my friends and family are a wide variety of people.

My friends and family are gay, straight, bi, trans, black, white, latino, christian, pagan, buddhist, atheist and agnostic. (That is not an exaggeration.)

What I notice is that all the other groups tend to blend a little easier and when I visit my Christian friends and family I feel like I'm jumping through hoops just to spend time with them because I could never invite them along with everybody else.

Now I admit that some of it is my own decisions, but its hard to keep up with all the judgements.

-No Harry Potter
-No Gay Bars
-No Unique Restraunts
-No long coffee dates (because the conversation will get too politically heated and I'll be accused of ganging up on them.)

Can someone explain this to me?

No, I dont care if my belief in God makes me sound like a nutcase. Did Jesus care if he sounded like one? no I dont think he did, all he cared about was people believing and saving themselves from Hell. and that is all I care about. everyday I see people who dont think twice about anything they do or say. all they care about is themselves and what they want. the world is turning into a very selfish place. people wont do anything without asking "whats in it for me?" It breaks my heart to see this world fall apart because of hatred and selfishness and jealousy. I may be only one person, but at least I am one person who cares, and if I can get even one more person to see the truth, then its one more person ahead in the battle. somebody asked earlier, why we talk like we are going to war. well we are at war. good verses evil, its a war that has been going on forever. so do I care if I sound like a nutcase, no I dont, and why should you?
