In Hebrews 13 verse 8, it says that Jesus is the same yesturday, today, and forever. When did yesturday begin and does that mean that you must follow everything since that point?

If I read of someone's struggle here in a posting on Yahoo Answers, and I pray for them, does this matter to God?

I pray for my co-workers, my friends, my family - even my enemies! But these are all folks that I know very well.

Does God care and listen to my prayers for someone I have never even met?

If the organization (watchtower) is a prophet of God then I must ask a question using the NWT.
Deuteronomy 20 “‘However, the prophet who presumes to speak in my name a word that I have not commanded him to speak or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet must die.

Ok if the organization (WT) Is a prophet of God. I would like to ask you this by standards of the bible you read (NWT). A prophet is not a prophet of GOd if what they say does not come to pass.

Please explain the following by your bible.

WT QUOTES
1918 "Therefore we may confidently expect that 1925 will mark the return of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the faithful prophets of old, particularly those named by the Apostle in Hebrews 11, to the condition of human perfection." (Millions Now Living Will Never Die, p. 89)

"I have purposely landscaped the place with palm and olive trees so that these princes of the universe will feel at home.."-Joseph "Judge" Rutherford, Watchtower President

Hebrews 6:4:

"For [it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
6:5 "And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6:6 "If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put [him] to an open shame."

Like if I say a remark for example, one person might think "oh what an idiot." "I don't care, thats's a lie." "Oh I never knew that." and so forth. So sometimes when you say something people might get the wrong message of what your trying to tell them. I've just thought about this, I'm wondering how many of you have mistakenly thought of something someone said and interpereted it in the wrong way. I admit I have, and everyone makes mistakes.

They are so different in spelling and grammar structure. I understand there were invasions and infusion of foreign languages, but how can a language change so dramatically? How did they become Shakespeare's and today's English? I mean, can any native English speaker decipher what this passage mean without googling?

Hwæt! wē Gār-Dena in geār-dagum, þeod-cyninga, þrym gefrunon, hu ða æþelingas ellen fremedon.

Can anyone still speak Old or Middle English today?

It seems to me the major problem with politicians is that after time they loose touch with those they are supposed to serve. It seems they then become self serving. Sometimes they seem to turn against the people. Is there a better way of doing things that can lead to electing those with a genuine social conscience?

Dig this. Here's part of Genesis 11 for you:

'...Then they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth."

'But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the men were building. The LORD said, "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them."

Now take a look at that. God doesn't say in there, "What a ridiculous bunch of jerks. I'm going to smack them for their arrogance." He in fact says exactly the OPPOSITE - that their plans would be unstoppable unless he intervened.

Does this mean that God was afraid men would come and seize Heaven? Does it mean that God is intrinsically opposed to the aims of unity and hard-earned reknown? How can a person who believes in the goodness of this god and the truth of the Bible make sense of this?
