You are correct, Balaam, they don't understand because the most precious truths are hidden from them until they "hunger and thirst after righteousness", then God will show them His goodness.

Note this: There were no athiests in Noah's day--they could see the Garden of Eden--yet they did not live the truth.

Likewise, in the last days, everyone will see enough evidence to believe in God, but they will not come to the truth manifest in perfect obedience to the commandments of God.

OK... so you believe that a cosmic Jewish zombie, who is his own father, can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him that you accept him as your master so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced, by a talking snake with legs, to eat from a magical tree...
