"The Trinity . . . It did not find a place formally in the theology of the church till the 4th century." -- The Illustrated Bible Dictionary

"The three-in-one/one-in-three mystery of Father, Son and Holy Ghost made tritheism official. The subsequent almost-deification of the Virgin Mary made it quatrotheism . . . Finally, cart-loads of saints raised to quarter-deification turned Christianity into plain old-fashioned polytheism.

By the time of the Crusades, it was the most polytheistic religion to ever have existed, with the possible exception of Hinduism. This untenable contradiction between the assertion of monotheism and the reality of polytheism was dealt with by accusing other religions of the Christian fault. The Church - Catholic and later Protestant - turned aggressively on the two most clearly monotheistic religions in view - Judaism and Islam - and persecuted them as heathen or pagan.

The external history of Christianity consists largely of accusations that other religions rely on the worship of more than one god and therefore not the true God. These pagans must therefore be converted, conquered and/or killed for their own good in order that they benefit from the singularity of the Holy Trinity, plus appendages." -- The Doubter's Companion (John Ralston Saul)

I heard a radio talk show this evening and they were discussing how the early Morman church had polygamy as one of their doctrines. The talks show hosts were saying how this was so wrong, and that God would disapprove of this. Not that I'm condoning polygamy....but didn't some of the great men in the old testament have multiple wives? Jacob in Gen 29:15-30 had two wives, I don't read the bible condemning them.

Since you don't pick your nose in front of others on the street, why should this other dirty personal habit be acceptable?

Do smokers think their waste smoke should somehow be tolerated by the people around them - yet they would not spit on them? Isn't cigarette smoke just another bodily waste like farting and spitting?

Can't the addicted smokers do their smoking in their own homes?

I'm serious. Have you asked the Lord to let you die an honorable death. Say martyrdom perhaps? I have. I mean, we all die a physical death so why not die in service to the King.

Might I suggest Foxe's Book of Martyrs for great reading. Every account of a Believer dying for Christ gives detail to joy and singing.

and it's incredible parallel with so many facts regarding the tribulation to come? Just the fact that the document used to give its High Represenative his powers is numbered #666. The church seems to have no sense of alarm due to the fact the EU has over 20 members...compared to the 10 kings who give their authority to the beast in Revelation...yet what they don't know or say is that there are only 10 FULL members and the rest have partial or observer status only.....the 10 FULL are the military wing by the way. There is a flood more I could add to drive this home with mouths hanging open...but I don't want this question to become a book........look up recommendation 666 online if not familiar. Sincerely A concerned Christian ps. the European Union is the revived Roman Empire....even the non religous have said so in books/magazines.

CHRISTIAN TRINITY as the foundation of their Polytheistic Theology

God the Father = Judge/Punisher (in OT)
Jesus the Son = Creator/Saviour/Love
Holy Spirit = Preserver/Source of Miracles

HINDU TRINITY as the foundation of their Polytheistic Theology

Shiva = Punisher/destroyer
Brhama = Creator/Love
Vishnu = Preserver/Source of Miracles

Except Hindus believe God can come in millions of forms but even then he is One God…..

This is much like the Christian trinity of God as the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. The trinity represents the Divine in its threefold nature and function. Each aspect of the trinity contains and includes the others.

God is multi-part but always considered as “one”.

The "New Testament": Pagan revenge

Between G-d's own miracles and the Jewish teaching of His Word, the pagan priesthoods of Egypt, Greece, and Rome were steadily losing their power over the gentile populations. They decided to fight back by creating a new religion, one that would claim to be the fulfillment of the Hebrew "Old Testament," yet would bring back the pagan lies in a new disguise.

Thus the "New Testament" was written, in Greek rather than Hebrew, and attached to the original Hebrew scriptures to try to change their meaning back toward paganism.

The "New Testament" tried to change G-d from One, as in the Hebrew scriptures, into a "trinity" as in Egyptian cults or the eastern religions of Hinduism and Buddhism. It described Jesus as G-d in a human body, like the pagans always described Pharoah and other wicked kings. It declared G-d's Law to be a "curse" that no one can truly obey, announced that there must be a "mediator" between G-d and man, and pretended that salvation could now be achieved outside the Law.

To blind the gentile nations, the "New Testament" also warned people not to learn from the Jews, declaring that Israel no longer possessed the true, complete Word of G-d.

In the Bible, the book of Daniel warned of an evil power--a false religion--that would believe in the true "G-d of fortresses... plus a god its fathers did not know." This religion would "speak bizarre words about the Most High, wear out the holy ones (the Jews), and plan to change the festivals and the religious Law."7 The Christian Church has indeed replaced Passover with Easter (the pagan holiday of Astarte and Ishtar) and Hanukah with Christmas (the pagan winter holiday).

Since then, Christian paganism has expanded to include Christmas trees, Easter eggs, and so forth.
