I'm serious. Have you asked the Lord to let you die an honorable death. Say martyrdom perhaps? I have. I mean, we all die a physical death so why not die in service to the King.

Might I suggest Foxe's Book of Martyrs for great reading. Every account of a Believer dying for Christ gives detail to joy and singing.

It's my opinion that if you are a Christian, that God will give you grace through your death. What I mean is that when you die, you won't feel pain...

No - but the power of life and death are in my tongue - according to my words, I'm going to die in my sleep, at peace with all around me.

My father-in-law used to say all the time "those women drivers, they're gonna be the death of me!" His car was T-boned by a woman driver and he died of his injuries.

I'm not interested in martyrdom. My brother-in-law is an evangelist, and travels world-wide. Several times, within 24 hours after he left an area, all missionaries in that area were martyred. Not once or twice, but several times in several places across the globe. Sorry, irrelevant but your question made me think of him and the lump in my stomach every time I hear that, once again, he has been delivered from an unthinkable death with mere hours to spare.

Not everyone is born or led to die a martyrs death. If that cup can be passed from us then so be it. However..if not then may God show mercy upon our souls and hold us close giving us peace of mind throughout all our sufferings bringing Him all the glory.
However the way this country is looking at Christians you may get your wish.

Yes I've asked to die and to leave behind a legacy with Christ's name all over it. Glory to God in the Highest.

Bombing a building isn't what I'm intending but to help bring souls to Gods Kingdom perhaps by way of preaching the gospel and watching lives change, I'm all for that.
