We have had an incomplete set of Srimad Bhagavatam for a while. I was ecstatic when the other day we unexpectedly received a new full set.

However, I remember hearing that there is much "revisions" of the new books of Srila Prabhupad, and some people are vehemently against these revisions which they say change Prabhupada's message.

Is it really that much different? Also, maybe the older Bhagavatams that we have already had been revised, I am not sure. I am wondering what to do now, is it not good to read from the new Bhagavatam, or was all this fuss blown out of proportion.. What is the difference between the old and the new?

Someone please help me with this....

Check the people on your lists, and then see who are on their lists, and so on.

Draw it up on paper, and you begin to see how inter-connected we are with something like Y!A.

Now project it out into the non-cyber reality with friends and families and co-workers, etc.

Life requires relationships.

No one is an island unto himself.

And as long as Life requires relationships, would not loving relationships be the most beneficial?

Bitter atheists too.
You're an atheists cool, fine, whatever. But why do most of the atheists seem mean? Ya know a convo like this. "I believe in God." "Oh, you do? Well I don't."

But instead we get this. "I believe in God." "Oh, you do? Well no one asked you and God doesn't exist and your a fool for praying to God. Because you're really praying to nothing. You're stupid. When you die that's it it's over, and I hope it's soon."

agree to disagree friends?

i just read a question asking why christians cuss....most of the answers were "because everyone sins..." why are you saying cussing is a sin? aren't cuss words just words like every other word? any word can be demeaning if used with bad intentions....so why do christians claim cussing to be a sin?

This time my question is serious. And it is a religious one, because it is religion that dictates what the meaning of the word evil is.

Please include your religion in your answer, unless of course you do not want to. It's entirely your choice, but... ya, you get the drift.

Gods Forgivness, but on the other hand bad deeds on earth acheive gods wrath?

You may say that any sin committed on earth is against god, but then why is not every good deed on earth commited towards his fellow man, seen as a reason for forgiveness?

OK...Last year, 5 people I knew - 3 girls + 2 boys - died in a horrific car accident that wasn't drug or alcohol related. They were good, very well-liked, spunky kids. They weren't all over the national news, their families/friends weren't on the Today show, they weren't getting called by People magazine.

Yet, this year, 5 girls - they were cheerleaders - died in a horrific car accident, wasn't alcohol or drug related, and they're all over the news, family/friends on the Today show, in People magazine.

WTF? I feel bad for being mad about that but I really am. What makes them so much better or newsworthier than the people I knew? Both accidents lost innocent young lives and their families and friends loved them just as much! I really hate that this pisses me off because I feel like I shouldn't feel this way.

William Blackstone considered natural law as “dictated by God himself”. That “It is binding over all the globe, in all countries, and at all times: no human laws are of any validity, if contrary to this; and such of them as are valid derive all their force, and all their authority, mediately or immediately, from this original".

she forced her beliefs on me and now everytime I go to my place of worship I get this feeling in my heart and I know everyone feels the same way around me and it is a great comfort. I find it hard to worship a different football team now and could never go to another ground to watch a different one or stop going altogether, i get this overwhwellming feeling when they score a goal. This is all down to parental upbringing and geographical location-no other reason.
Does this sound familiar to anybody?

I am a Christian myself, but I find myself staying away from church because I find people at church very fakey, rude, and hypocritical. They seem to almost loath people that are not on their same "path to righteousness." When Jesus would help people, he would first speak to the sinful, because therein lies the problems. Why do some Christians not follow this same path? Why do they get angry when you miss one day? Why do they allow their perceptions of the world to cloud their judgement?

My fiances whole family are members of the church of Christ.
I was raised seventh day adventist, belong to United Methodist, and really now finding my answers through the Bible.
My problems with the church of christ are these,
They believe if you arent baptised you go straight to hell.
I believe in baptism as an act of obedience to God. I think if you are a christian, yes you should be baptised but if you give your life to God and scheduled to be baptised in church but die in an accident the day before, God will take that into account on judgement day. I dont believe baptism is what could keep you from heaven.
Also, They supposedly do everything by the bible, but the bible says women heads should be covered during prayer. For some reason The COC overlooks this?
It also says in the new testament that we can be filled with the holy spirit and talk in new tongues and cast out demons.
But they choose not to talk of this at all. And even poke fun at people on TV doing this.
Why?

I was baptized a catholic,and as a mormon, when I was between 10 and 12.
I became a christian way before that at 5 and half years old. Then the Lord called me back later in life as an adult!
