You can't get re-baptized all you can do is get a conditional baptism just in case the first one was not legitimate. Anyone who is a Christian has the power to baptize under running water and using the formula of the sign of the cross and the words in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. This would be considered legitimate by the Church and especially so if the person in question was near to death and could not be formally baptized by a priest or minister. If you were legitimately baptized by a Christian minister then you need not be re-baptized again.

You say you were baptized Catholic. At what age did you make the decision to be washed clean of your sins in the immersion of the blood of Christ?
I don't know how Mormons do it but that dedication isn't true any longer correct.
Baptism is a public display of your belief in Jesus. Immersion is the methods he used.
While the lack of a baptismal history won't be counted against you as a saved Christian it is a part of the born again experience. How can you make a profession of faith in the cross and Jesus too many times?
God Bless!

I was baptized as a Catholic as a baby. But the baptism the Bible speaks of is one in which as a believer one willingly gets baptized in obedience to the command and as an evidence of genuine faith which qualifies him to be accepted in the Christian community as a member. Catholic baptism isn't Biblical baptism - or "Believer's baptism".
So when I became a believer I received believer's baptism. No you don't have to get rebaptized. You only need to received believer's baptism once. But if you'lve simply got wet as a unbelieving infant, what does that have to do with what the Bible calls "baptism"?

I did. It is a personal choice and for me it was an outward testimony of what had happened on the inside. I was baptized a Mormon at the innocent age of 8 and not having a clue what it was for. Then I left the church when I was about 15. I then was saved at 22 and as I grew as a Christian found that for me at the age of 25 it was the next step. I am so happy that I did it! Thank you Jesus for dying for my sins!

Water baptism by immersion is symbolic of dying to self (old things are passed away) and also serves as a public declaration of one's decision to serve Jesus as Lord.
I've been baptized a few times - one was in a feeding trough (new) that was filled with water. It was an otherworldly experience; I stepped into the water and it was cooooold! I thought to myself, it's a good thing I'm not drunk in the Spirit because this cold water would sober me up quick! The pastor (we were at a tent meeting) "dunked" me and when I came up the water felt warm - like soaking in a bathtub warm - and when I went to step out of the baptismal trough (sounds funny saying it like that) I could barely keep my balance, and was stone-cold drunk in the Spirit for the rest of the night. For hours I watched people around me, they were cold, but even though I was soaking wet in that cold I never felt a chill - stayed cozy and warm the whole time.
I didn't mean to ramble, I just wanted to share that story with you. Get baptized as many times as you see fit; baptism isn't what saves you or convinces God to forgive your sins.

In Catholicism baptism is not a symbol but a sacrament. This means something happens during your baptism. Your origional sin is washed away in baptism - this can only happen once, after that you need to confess your sins to get absolution - to be considered free of sin again.
Why would you want to be rebaptised? If it's to show your dedication to Jesus, then just do that. Getting "rebaptised" claims that you consider your other baptism invalid.
The Catholic church doesn't recognise the Mormon church as a Christian church and therefore doesn't consider their baptisms valid.

Once you have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, then you should be baptized as an outward show of your belief - your acknowledgement. Baptism from other faiths only showed your belief in them, but now it is time to show your new faith in Christianity. So yes, you should be re-baptized!

baby baptizism isnt biblical so it has absolutly no meaning whatsoever, its symbolic for dedication but it has no meaning in terms of ACTUAL baptizism
baptizism is when someone willingly accepts Jesus as their Lord God no when they're innocent and stupid :D understand?
yes, baptism in the holy spirit is differnt than baptism as a catholic and as a mormon so totally
GET BAPTIZED!
