and the state tries to get you for child abuse, can you use your religion to fight them? since the state says not to touch your child in anyway, you must talk and put them in time out.

I just read a question about someone having their maid wear a uniform. Some of the answers were a bit patronising. Do you think maids are stupid or less than you? Do you think that they cannot do any other type of work?

I'm curious about this for two reasons:

1-In pre-Islamic Arabia, Allah was the god of the moon.

2-Neither the Torah nor the Bible command followers to kill non-Jews or non-Christians.

So why would God suddenly reveal himself again and command people to Murder one another in the 7th century?

As a Born Again Christian, I have noticed that the USA is out of step with its allies and neighbours.

As Europe becomes less engaged to the church, we are becoming more fundamentalist.

The countries of central and south america are increasingly voting in left wing governments.

The one region we have a lot in common with is the Middle East.

We both in charge have religious men who will wage wars.

We are both showing less regard for individual rights.

Unimpeachable power is held in the hands of a few.

We both disdain the United Nations.

Our heads of state are beholden to oil.

Clearly we should partner ourselves with those countries with which we have most in common like Iran, Saudi Arabia and Iraq. We should say goodbye to NATO.

Who can see the logic and feels this is right?

Why does the Western World take the route of "Appeasement" in dealing with the Muslim problem? Appeasement doesn't work. Look where appeasement led Europe leading up to World War II.

I have found that if I "confess" to myself, it works much better than priest confession. And I don't confess "sins" to myself either. I confess to myself if I've been lying to myself or supressing thoughts. It's very cathartic. I try to do it at least once a week, but sometimes daily. I just write out all my thoughts and admit things to myself that may be painful to admit, but they are more painful to keep inside and I feel much better once I can admit something to myself. I am just totally honest with myself and I pour everything out with the confidence that no one else is going to see it. My point is, it does not have to be told to another person. The priest is not necessary for confession, not even another person is necessary.
Confessing to a priest is uncomfortable, creepy and unnecessary. Besides, relying on priests is basically like granting them magic powers.

a lot of people use this term to refer to people who are against people of a certain religion. this can't be the proper term though because racism obviously refers to race, which is not the same thing. you can be a religious minority but an ethnic majority, and therefore not discriminated against because of 'race.'

what is the right word, if there is one, for "racism" in terms of religion?

Some one here told me that Noah used small animals to populate the Ark. Is that what would pass for scholarship at say; Harvard Divinity School. Would someone at Baylor or Notre Dame write a thesis titled: "The Inherent Difficulties of Maritime Cargo Lading Coupled with Time Dependent Embarkation Demands and the Subsequent Scramble to Find Small Animal Specimens." Now I would read that!

OK in certain rare cases boys are born without a penis. Let us assume that surgery has been performed to make the child cosmetically female. (Please feel free to research this, I believe it is common practice, though I am not certain, so I am characterizing the question as a "what if")

Now this child was raised as a female, should the child marry a woman or a man? Would "she" be a lesbian with a woman or would that be ok? Should "she" marry a man? Where is the sin?

Please give your religious justification, for your answer.
