As a Born Again Christian, I have noticed that the USA is out of step with its allies and neighbours.

As Europe becomes less engaged to the church, we are becoming more fundamentalist.

The countries of central and south america are increasingly voting in left wing governments.

The one region we have a lot in common with is the Middle East.

We both in charge have religious men who will wage wars.

We are both showing less regard for individual rights.

Unimpeachable power is held in the hands of a few.

We both disdain the United Nations.

Our heads of state are beholden to oil.

Clearly we should partner ourselves with those countries with which we have most in common like Iran, Saudi Arabia and Iraq. We should say goodbye to NATO.

Who can see the logic and feels this is right?

Oh Pastor, you are much too close to the truth for comfort. But anybody in this country who is comfortable right now is an egg-sucking cretin with delusions of normalcy.

I have a few Muslim friends, one of whom is currently with our forces in Iraq. He is a much more civilized person than most of the ostentatious Christians I know.

Funny thing is, in the U.S., even during the Revolution, church membership of all faiths combined has NEVER been over 10%. Whole lot of loud-mouthin' going on, ain't there?

You appear not to be too well informed in the culture of the Muslim religion. I've read many books on the subject of Islamic beliefs and cozying up to non-Muslims is not on their agenda. Their mindset is on death, not life. The Muslims will agree to anything. Sign anything. Promise anything, but never with the intention of delivering on any commitment.

Anwar Sadat signed a peace agreement with Israel. It cost him his life. Arafat signed a peace agreement with Israel. He never honored any of the terms. Muslims want the World converted to Islam or kill the non-believers, and are willing to die trying.

What do you think was the main reason for Japan attacking the United States at Pearl Harbor!? OIL! Germany needed oil as well and grabbed oil fields. The allies bombed Germany flat and the United States burned Japan into surrender. We were fighting for our lives and the gloves were off.

If the Muslims attempt to strangle the West by holding back oil, that can only go on for so long. There will either be a meeting of the minds, or a showdown. Oil is not a luxury. It's a life blood and we will not permit any country or nation to use it as a weapon.

In addition, the Muslims seem to have a problem getting along with one another. The United States cannot be expected to separate the factions indefinitely. We are not being supported by the major world powers, with the exception of England and Australia; and these two countries are slowly withdrawing from this seeming less Muslim conflict.

I've rambled a bit, but the bottom line is....a portion of the present Islamic world looks at peace with the West as defeat.

I see where you're going with it, and your conclusion of 2+2=7 is WAY off. In case you didn't realize, there are far more differences between the middle east and America, and similarities with Europe than you would like to admit...of course that would blow your ship off course. One difference between our leadership and europes is that we stopped the terrorists so far, they're not so lucky.
We SHOULD say goodbye to NATO, do you watch the news? They define worthless and don't get me started on Kofi Anan.
United Nations? United for what? How about "Alliance of Self Concerned Nations Together To Watch Genocide Proliferate" What the hell have they done? No one there does a damn thing unless they see a nobel peace prize opportunity. Yeah, you kind of have to abandon your faith to turn your head the other way whil your leader is getting filthy rich of his people while they are murdered 10k at a time. You don't know your a** from a hole in the ground, when it comes to individual rights. We Americans have the monopoly on that one.
But you did manage to stumble haphazardly on one common interest, oil.
They got, we want it.
By the way, Jane Fonda, did you sell your Escalade yet?

initially do not generalize. i'm a born returned Christian, yet i don't push my ideals on everyone. i don't attempt to transform everyone and that i don't tell everyone they are going to hell or that they are devil's newborn. i've got faith it somewhat is misguided to act this way. If somebody is attracted to my faith i will supply them the data as i understand them and tell them approximately my own reviews. i'd invite them to church with me and which would be it. i don't understand why some Christians act like that because of the fact it is going against the classes of Christ. we are to not decide everyone and insulting somebody is a significant no-no. i individually don't like it while everyone says who's and who can not heaven because of the fact no count what our ideals are, the only individual who's attentive to for specific is God and who're we to question Him. i'd propose you next time you run right into a individual like this which you tell them you get exhilaration from their subject for you, yet you have your individual faith. in the event that they start to insult you tell them they don't look to be very stable Christians in the event that they sense they'd desire to insult somebody to get their component for the duration of and that they don't look to be going to win too many souls in the event that they proceed that habit. Ask them which church they belong to, the address and the telephone selection and then call their minister and enable him understand how they are behaving and the variety you sense it shines a undesirable gentle on the church. that would desire to do the interest.

Muslim religion hates Jesus. Muslims kill Christians all over the world just because they are Christians. Could you work with someone that wanted to literally see you dead?

You, Sir, do not understand Who Jesus is.
Stop worrying about what certain followers are doing. What Jesus says to you, He has said to all..."follow Me."
In order to follow Him, you need to get to know Him, not Brother Bob, or Sister June. Stop worrying about them. For all you know, they may not even be following Jesus, but their own greed. It's very possible.
Worry only about obeying Jesus, and you'll be alright.
