I was just wondering if Las Vegas didn't have gambling, would it be so popular, or is gambling what made Las Vegas popular?

-My parents lived in Las Vegas for 25 years, in Reno for about 10. Prostitution, drinking, gambling, murders, crime, you name it, both cities have it all. If trouble is what someone is looking for these two cities are the place.
Vegas is one of the cities that has no morals. I visited it often to see my parents, morality is unheard of, anything goes. I worked on several different occasions when I stayed there for awhile to visit.
It is a 24 hr. wild and dangerous town. Drugs are everywhere, where people stay up 24/7. It has a reputation for a drunken party place, and it'll suck every penny out of you if you let it. People can party and get crazy for a weekend and then go back home. This is why it is popular, nobody knows you there, so you can party. And people do believe me.

All the SIN, the lights, the great shows (and I'm not talking about the dirty ones) , the amazing luxury, the food , all the shopping and just everything.. There's a lot of energy there and you're always on the go..I mean gambling is of course the number one factor as to why it is so popular so without that I'm not sure if it would be as popular, I would say no.

I have never been to Las Vegas myself. What I have heard is that if you want to gamble, Laughlin is the place to go. Las Vegas is all about the hotels, shows and shopping!

A lot of it is show. Where else in the US can you go and see the Eiffel Tower in Paris, New York, New York, Castles, Pyramids. etc.......And of course there's always that prostitution thing.
