a very stinging question but its true. God calls it faith. Even science is on God's side of the story... not abt to start a thread here but i read many accounts of science proving and disproving itself to a trend where they see that many simple statements in the bible had turned into scientific truths..

That is a mind-numbingly absurd argument, not to mention that no one has ever ‘seen’ any God.
We can still see the light and hear the sound from the Big Bang. Is it too much to ask that God do a little something?
And, the ‘free will’ argument does not fly because, according to Christian lore, God was a miracle-making maniac a couple thousand years ago. Or, did he just recently make up the free will business?

Yeah... there's your problem. Is there anything else at all that you have to do that with? Certainly nothing in science; the evidence came first. And probably nothing in your day-to-day life either. How often do you say, "Well, I believe I have money in my account, so I'll spend $1000 for this stereo." More likely, you check your account first for the evidence that you have the money.
If god is so obviously real, why should I need to believe in him before I see the evidence? I don't do that for anything else that's real. I don't need to.

Did you have faith that your mother would feed you ? Was there any evidence before you were born that she would ? NO. Faith is something attached to someone or thing we believe in and there are faiths in humans and all kinds of things , things we trust. You have faith in people and you have faith your car will start tomorrow. Faith exists every where, without evidence to prove it.

There is no evidence to prove that Santa Claus exists. Do I have to believe in Santa Claus and his magical flying reindeer before I can understand the evidence for his existence?

You cannot prove that god exists even if you believe in god. Its just your own opinion that there is a god, you didnt meet god or anything so you cant say you did & that he is real now can you??
So it doesnt matter if you believe or not since you cant explain what happens after you die to the living, so its a waste to believe.

God deliberately gives no evidence of his existence. He wants people to accept us on faith! If he came to earth and went on TV every week, then it wouldn't be faith to believe in him, now would it?
I would say you have it backwards. You have to understand the evidence before you can believe in something. Faith is belief in the unseen, belief in something for which there is no evidence.

That goes equally well for every other god ever created. Have you tried them all? If not then you may not be qualified to judge on the subject. Truth is you can really make yourself believe that there is evidence for anything... that doesn't mean that there is.

To me, it seems more likely that the evidence is pointing in the opposite direction.

It would be correct to say that you have to believe before you can ignore evidence.
