You know, not being able to do anything, think anything or be anything. Just a big, black emptiness.
Id like to believe in heaven, but I dont and nothing will change that. I think that once your dead, you're gone.

I know most of you are going to say what a ridiculous question- and I can understand if you read only the question why you would say that, so I will explain a bit. I am just curious about something- it never ceases to amaze me that a person can be pro-choice about the abortion issue- but then the same person will complain that God gave us a choice between choosing life in Him, or hell. If a person who is pro-choice why would they complain about any choice? you can not accept Christ and that is your choice- I have chosen Christ- that is mine.

We've taken the ten commandment off every wall as if we were ashamed of them. We've taken prayer out of school and will publicly mock any valadictorian who thinks they can get away with a quick prayer at graduation. Under God shouldn't be said in school. Alot of peole say he isn't real...but what if you're wrong? What if God decides to turn away from his children because noone belived in him?
What Is it that makes people think God isn't real? There is loads of proof he is...look around you, open up your eyes. There is not proof he dosen't exist.
I know I will get the crap badgered out of me for asking this..but I just want opinions..and Don't be too mean..I am only a 15-year-old girl.

When every American labels the followers of Islam as fundamentalists, fanatics etc ...Are they able to recognise these caharacteristics as there is hardly any difference between the two religions..christianity and Islam.....as far as pursuing their principle of converting many humans as possible.

I see news reports of preachers that have been found out for sinning. Here's this guy who makes people think he's got God's ear and he's all full of Holy Spirit. All of this praying to God hasn't removed or bared his sin and he still gets to convince the world that this is what a spiritual man looks like but he's just a fraud. Isn't that just humiliating for the congregation? Doesn't that put all evangelists under suspicion?

In 1 Corintians 3 in the Bible, Paul speaks to his fellow Christians lecturing them and criticizing their behavior. Most of the passage deals with the duties of Christians. Yet, in verses 16-17, Paul states:
" Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are."
--1 Corinthians 3:16-17
Most people associate that verse with the abuse of substances, such as alcohol and drugs. I interpret this verse to mean, You should avoid anything that can destroy your body, as your body is sacred and holy.
So, I began to ponder. Everyday many of us consume unhealthy food. Many people OVER-consume unhealthy food. This unfortunate reality leads to high cholesterol, heart problems, and obesity, among others. Now, America is criticized even on this site, as being fat and lazy. Though i disagree, I am aware that obesity is increasing among our country. There are many reasons behind this, but that is not the point of this post.
It came to my attention, that the Bible also criticizes gluttony, or excessive eating and drinking. The Bible condems gluttony in the following passages:
"Be not among winebobbers; among riotous eaters of flesh: For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags."
-- Proverbs 23:20-21
"Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things."
--Phillipians 3:17
Thus, do you think that Obesity could be condsidered a sin?
