so atheists get mad at people of faith for spreading their faith to others and think we are wrong for doing it, yet when atheists do it they think they are doing the world a service, oh the hipocracy. Theists believe God exists they don't have to try to prove it, but atheists don't believe God exists and they try to disprove God exists. You can't disprove a negative. The whole logic is idiotic

They are very HUNGRY for The Word of God!
Romans 1: 19 Since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

I don't think many atheists spend much time trying to prove that God does not exist. They spend rather more than necessary simply proclaiming that God does not exist, but they don't try to prove it. As you point out, it is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to prove a negative.

Also, remember that when you say what atheists do or do not do, you are speaking of those atheists who declare themselves here on R&S. The majority of atheists, I suspect, do not spend much time thinking about religion or spiritual matters at all. They just go about their daily lives. A subset of them is represented here.

i'm afraid that's a sprint extra complicated than that. Atheists have an precise to take part in this communicate board, merely as believers do. Plus, we actually might desire to admit that some people who have faith they're Christians or pretend to be Christians do snipe at atheists. this is in basic terms organic that the atheists want to preserve their viewpoint. sure, many atheists do attempt to break concept and faith (or merely preserve their own ideals), yet i'm unsure that we are in a position to declare, "They began it!" i might quite be the only to set the stable occasion and manage all human beings's ideals with appreciate.

The same reason Christians work to disprove evolution. Their belief system is being challenged by the very existence of religion. Some will choose to lash out with emotional tirades against religious people...since Christians are plentiful they are frequent targets.

I think it's ironic that so many of them tell Christians not to push their religion on them...while the whole time they're only on R&S to push their beliefs on others or make snide comments about how atheists are stupid. (See DRB's answer for a sample)

Hey atheists, if you don't want to hear about religion stop coming to the RELIGION & SPIRITUALITY section!!

When was the last time you see an atheists trying to disprove an imaginary creature? There is already enough proof, and the main proof is There is no proof for imaginary creature.

Frankly speaking, it has all the while been Christians (not theists in general) that keeps telling atheists if there is no god, why atheists can't disprove god. In which we think is idiotic.

Maybe it's for the same reason some Christians go out of their way to "save" atheists?

They just want people to be educated; that's all.

Take it from a Christian who has read books about evolution; ignorance isn't bliss. You don't have to believe it, but you should familiarize yourself with it. Jesus didn't punish those who questioned; He gave them answers.

Because they think its all a bunch of bs and want others to see things theyre way. They also think that religion is a form of mind control in which people dont make decisions for themselves.

I'm atheist and I don't try to disprove anything. I don't need to. You could believe what you want to, just stop trying to push your beliefs on me and others that just happen to disagree with you.
