When every American labels the followers of Islam as fundamentalists, fanatics etc ...Are they able to recognise these caharacteristics as there is hardly any difference between the two religions..christianity and Islam.....as far as pursuing their principle of converting many humans as possible.

It is very true that Christians believe that they are Gods own people and the rest probably Satans.
Many an answer depicts that christianity is the only way to heaven...this is precisely what makes them think that they are invincible...like they demonstrated in the US.Why cannot they agree that it is not a desirable action...
Similarities are a plenty in both religions and of course most problems precipitate because of religion.

None of the answers accept it is a mistake.....just goes to show that Christians are fanatics.( at least some)

I see your point, another common point was that around the time of the Prophet Mohamed Christians had been using the bending over and 'butting the ground with their head' method of pray, that's where the Prophet got the idea from.
The other thing they have in common of course is that they believe 'There is but one God' Muslims are a bit confused about this when they try to work out what the Holy Trinity' is all about, and so is every one else on earth!
Although I agree with the point you are making,
the one thing that has already been mentioned a few times is your generalisation "All Americans" "All Christians"?
Your responses are as they were to be expected . Not sure why you brought the vedic prayer into it, many prayers from many religions have caused havoc!
Theres always havoc between religions, and always will be.

"When every American labels the followers of Islam as fundamentalists, fanatics, etc...."

That statement is just as insulting to me......as repeating such things are to those that do not condone the actions of the few that have caused the bad reputation you speak of. So why do you continue to feed the fire?

ALL Americans do not think such things, any more than ALL Islamics are terrorist. I am a 'Southern' American lady who has an education and I'm intelligent enough to know that humans can never be grouped in massive groups and all be stereotyped like that. But that is exactly what the terrorist strive for....fear & terror.

So.....your question = terrorist 2 points.
Good going.

All Christians? So what you just did, is complained about some certain people stereotyping Islam, but you yourself just stereotyped Christians.

I, myself am a bible only Christian. And I know there are peaceful islamist's, as well as fundamentalists. Same with everything else in this world. And remember, not everyone is a Christian. You can tell a Christian by the fruit they bear. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, in the same way a bad tree cannot produce good fruit. Real Christians uphold this, and they go directly by God's word (the Bible) ONLY. Many organizations call themselves Christians, but they are in fact, not Christian at all. They just use the label.

Much love to you all through Christ Jesus!!! <3

I am not a Christian. I have total belief in God but no religion.

The very big difference between Christians and Moslems is that Christ was completely clear...You Must not Kill..Its one of the ten commandments too..which Moslems tend to ignore.

Christ illustrated this with many parables and re-inforced it so that there was no ambiguity.
Killing anyone, for any reason, is wrong an affront against God.

However, in Islam Mohammed was not nearly so against killing, phases such as "Slaughter them where ever you find them" are common...There was a lot..and still is a great deal of Killing in the name of Allah.

Can it be true that God is the nasty vengfull jealous being that Islam turns him into?

Whether the fault is in the interpretation, or the message itself, Islam is bringing murder hatred and oppression to the world.

Until Islam confronts itself, has the moral courage to examine itself this state of affairs will continue.

It irks me that people have the nerve to claim Islam is a religion of peace when we see the result of its teaching ever single day on the news manifesting itself in death and destruction, depravation and suffering.

This is the Spawn of Islam.

I have no time for Fundamentalism of any kind, Christian or otherwise.

NUMBSKULLS...think for yourselfs, AS INDIVIDUALS..with free will..as God intended.

Just had a look at this prayer. Noting much wrong with it, many Christian ministers would use similar words during a service. However some theorists believe that Christ went to India as a young man before starting his ministry in Israel. Strange the name Krishna and Christ are so similar.

I note that some misinformed have confused Hinduism with Islam. they are not the same in any way.

When was the last time Christian youth were brainwashed into killing innocent people by blowing themselves up ?

Besides, in India, the land of the Vedic prayers, there are extreme fundamentalist groups -the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal......who oppose any form of Western symbolism, attack Christian clergy on charges of conversion & rape/kill nuns. In Bombay(the financial hub of India), shops are forbidden to sell any Valentine's Day cards, for reasons illogical to me.
So, I'd say Hindus are fanatical too.

i think of all and sundry have days and nights that we don't pray. yet you're a minimum of thinking approximately God via telling your self you won't be able to desire this evening.'' it is consistent with threat once you are the main drained, which you won't be able to desire. it is the way i'm. I basically say a rapid prayer and ask God to forgive me for no longer praying this evening and to assist me be stronger the following day so i can desire. each and every from time to time I even nod off asserting that short prayer. it is user-friendly to interrupt a solid habit and complicated to start a solid habit back. do basically no longer permit skipping praying a pair of nights get you right into a undesirable habit of no longer praying. the comparable is going for reading God's word we could desire to study some on a daily basis much less we fairly all together.

Isn't labeling "Christianity" as fanatics based on the actions of 3 people a bit of labeling and over generalization?
