Who the heck is the Pope he thinks he is? Conquering the world again like they did in Mid Eval times? He declared a theoretical document as church official document. Stating the the Catholic Church is the only true Christian Church.

It's the same with the Mormon Church who proclaims We are the true church of Jesus Christ latter Da Saints.

Is the same with the Muslim Alah is the only true one.

Heck where will the rest of us be? Lutherans, Buddhists, Aethists, Jews, and other religious backgrounds?

I am so sick of such irr reconsiable differences. What is your perspective?

If you go to the end of this article, you will see many people bloviating about how a Hindu has NO RIGHT to lead a senate prayer, because this is a "Christian Nation"

I thought the 1st amendment forbid the establishment of religion. When was Christianity established as the National Religion, and what specific laws on the books say that senate MUST open with a Christian prayer, and non-Christians are expressly forbidden from offering a senate prayer ?

I am 28 y/old Christian who grew up in a Christian home where love was shown, but kissing, hugging was never expressed between my parents.My mother never spoke of these things to me.
When I did start dating just kissing caused guilt. At 22 I lost my virginity; 23 was raped; 24 was assaulted; and at 25 had a very sexually agressive bf who did not respect me.Since I grew up believing guys only wanted 1 thing and so submitted to them without allowing sex because I felt I had no choice.Because of this I deal with depression and an eating disorder.With help I have been able to deal with much of the guilt.
I met a man I care about and, knowing my past, shows me respect and kindness. I chose to make love with him for the first time and I felt like I was worth being loved by a man and not just used for my body. How can this be wrong? Conviction not this feeling I am a unlovable person come from God. I am not asking for people to agree with my choice. I just need help w/t other guilt.

Today it was about 10 AM, and I was just getting out of bed. Half naked, eating my breakfast, feeding the dogs, and getting ready for a shower. Then, of course, the doorbell rings. I went and saw that it was my MOTHER'S friends from 3 states away. I don't even know these people, and my mother doesn't even live here. I basically told them to take a hike, and now I'm wondering if I was wrong to do that. They came completely unexpected, and rudely expected to be welcomed into my home on NO notice. Was what I did really out of line ? Or was it an expected reaction ?

I would be looking for the denomination that has the true teachings of Christ. I would not base my decision on what I “feel in my heart” or which one is “right for me”. I would want the one that has the truth, the correct interpretations of scripture, and better still, the history to back it up. Which one should I choose?

If this statement isn't the epitome of Catholic-bashers not knowing what they're talking about, I don't know what is.

I would love evidence that says Catholics don't pray to God. I must have missed that page in my Catholic Rule Book. Oh wait. That would be The Bible, wouldn't it? And I can't recall it saying not to pray to God.

If you want to hate us, go right ahead. But at least know the reasons you hate us. Don't just make it up as you go along, and try to pass it off as fact.
