In reply to the person who said that all politicians should be atheist...
Not believing in anything is still believing in something! And having an atheist would sway votes just as much as having a Christian or a Muslim... everyone lets there personal beliefs come into play.

It would depend on the candidate and their policies, but I am an atheist. If I was religious, and a person happened to be of my religion, then I might choose them over an atheist if my religion had programmed me to believe that believers in my religion were some how better than non believers, which may be the case of some religions.

I would choose the candidate who I agree with most, but if ALL the information I was given about them was that they were Atheist and Muslim, I would choose the Atheist.
Atheists are a bit more logical than the religious.

That would depend on the ideals and behavior of the individuals themselves. I'd choose whoever I thought had the best interest in mind for people and the environment.
A person who has good intentions, treats people with kindness, and is solid in what they believe to be right is the type of person I'd choose.

ATHEIST!!!!!!
I would choose an atheist over Christian if my choice came down to religion. I do not vote for party or religion, I vote for the person.

ATHEIST. Definitely. My personal opinion is that all members of senate/congress/whatever should be either Atheist or Agnostic as a prerequisite. That way religion isn't mixed with the logical thinking needed to run a country.

depends on what their views are on the issues, but probably the atheist, so that the poor guy won't be getting accusations of being a terrorist all the time. that would really interfere with his job, & i think there are more important things to worry about.
