FunkyC: You obviously don't know the bible well enough. Why not look up these verses?

Conundrum: let me repeat the question.
Are all those who believe that Jesus is the Christ "of God"?

(All of this is predicated on the literal truth of the Bible, something of which I am not certain.) Believing that Jesus is the Christ is not enough to be "of God." The demons are an excellent example: Even assuming that they truly recognized him as the son of God, their conduct was not in keeping with the law Christ proclaimed. Mark 12:28-31 says:

And one of the scribes came up and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that he answered them well, asked him, "Which commandment is the first of all?" Jesus answered, "The first is ' Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one; and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.' The second is this, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

To recognize him as the Christ, but to ignore his commandments is not to be of God. The demons must have recognized Satan, rather than God, and by their malice toward God and man they violated every aspect of the commandments.

Lets be honest for a minute, like two adults. If you were to try to interpret any other piece of literature in the wooden literal way that you are trying to interpret these passages from the New Testament, then you would be considered to be an imbecile who didn’t understand things like simile, metaphor, or idioms. Yet just because you are interpreting the “Bible”, your common sense and reading comprehension are put on hold, and you expect people to take you seriously? I hope that this is a joke question.

You do not seriously expect to convince people to abandon their faith by acting like a high school drop-out, do you? Even a child can understand what is being said here. Why do you need anyone to explain it?

The demons believe Jesus is the son of God, but they do not act in harmony with him. They yelled out he was the son of God to make people think he was crazy and evil, not because they wanted people to believe in him as their Saviour. That is why Jesus told them to be quiet. So, no, the demons are not "of God" as believers are.

Try this one on for size:

Colossians 2:9 (NIV) which says:
"For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form."

"The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word." Hebrews 1:3 (NIV)

(I've edited my answer. I don't need to make any other comments, because God's Word says it all!)

He is NOT ONLY "of" God...He is God....and to answer your direct question: YES. Anyone who believes that Jesus is Christ is 'of' God. (Ofcourse, "believe" in the sense that they not only think of it in their head, but actually follow the teachings...and thus, are "born again")

God bless you.
