I was truly surprised by the responses to my earlier question:

Have conservative Christians become so narrow that they cannot even tolerate a radically monotheistic interpretation of scripture?

I am against the whole excommunicating thing. I feel that our only duties towards others as a Christian is to love them, help them in need, and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to them. If a person strays away from the teachings of Christ maybe we can try to correct them but excommunicating? How can you or I tell a person they don't belong to God's Church anymore? We can not. Only God can determine who belongs to Him and who does not.

The truth is the same. That is why we need to be interested in seeking it. Opinions do not change the truth. I think we should try to understand each other. That does not mean that we should agree just to agree. Sometimes we need to agree to disagree.

I don't remember that in Bible Study?

Maybe THAT'S why I left.....

Pantheist.
