Some people are tortured for years to the point they completely loose their mind and all sense of reality? It seem like human sin was paid for easily in comparison to the horrific sin that occurs everyday. What do you think?

and then the catholics burned all the true Christians bibles and forbid the bible to be translated into other languages so people wouldn't find out that catholicism was a lie and so they would be stopped from being born-again but why didnt the pope just change the bible to fit catholic doctrine? isnt silly that catholicism contradicts the bible so much but they would leave the bible the way it is..

It seems that He calls himself the one true God but Egypt's Gods fought him in some regard. He may have been more powerful but that doesn't necessarily mean that he doesn't recognize other Godly beings!

From the Holy Bible(NRSV), 1 Corinthians Chapter 14 versus:

33B) (As in all the churches of the saints,

34) women should be silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be subordinate, as the law also says.

35) If there is anything they desire to know, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.

Given that along with 1 and 2 Timothy, how can any christian church ordain any female ministers. This is not a male/female question, but an obeying God question. How can it be the infallable word of God if major denominations foresake its laws.

One of the more esoteric traits of high-functioning (average or high intelligence) autism is the extremely high incidence of atheism, agnosticism, and secularism. Informal polls show that roughly two-thirds of HF autistics are non-religious. Less than ten percent of normal people are non-religious.

Given that autism is biological (the first symptoms normally present around age one), why would God create a condition that makes its sufferers physically less capable of believing in Him? How, in your opinion, will God judge these people when they die?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

I see Atheists getting pissed off in the Religion/Spiritual Section all the time and ranting about how God doesn't exist and how crazy it is for people to believe when it's obvious He doesn't exist. So isn't the fact that you get so worked up evidence that the idea of God is as much on your mind as it is those who DO believe. It seems to me that a lot of you are angry because you would like to know and believe in a oving God, you just see no proof of his existence. Is this accurate?

(Not trying to be mean or start a war of words. Just want to discuss and understand. Thanks.)

If it's not a beady eyed joke from Texas trying to take over the world it's a 400 lbs beauty from Georgia standing in front of what used to be her government paid for trailer house that’s laying on it's side with 6 of her kids climbing on it while she exclaims "I can't believe that there hurricane knocked my house over!" Where does it end? I know that the general population of the US is intelligent, but these people are what the world sees. Am I alone in my thinking that it's time to show the world that we're not a bunch of war hungry eighth grade drop-outs who are set on making the United World of America one KFC at a time, or should I just shut up and accept the fact that the US will always put our dumbest face on everything we do from here on? What do you think?

p.s. I posted this same question under general politics and realy only got one answer that was directed towards what I'm asking. This in not an anti Bush question. It's an anti stupid question!
