True Christianity? There is no such thing.
Before Constantine, there were many versions of the various books floating around. The Catholic Council of Carthage put together a best attempt to sift out the various books into an official canon. They picked four gospels because they thought four was a good number. Then they threw out the rest. So, you are correct to say that Constantine really changed religion.
However, you make the incorrect assumption that there was really a cohesive Christian religion before that. In a sense, Constantine made Christianity out of a bunch of scraps of books floating around, most of which were written decades after the first books and heavily plagerized off of each other.
So, there is really no such thing as "real Christianity". This is more true when you consider how Christianity has evolved since Constantine's time.

The Catholic church was around before Constantine, although it is not the church that Jesus built (Mat. 16) or the church which is talked about in the New Testament (Rom. 16:16). Throughout history the Catholic church has been against the Bible, though. They persecuted translators of it like Tyndale, wycliffe, and others, because those translators wanted the common people to have a copy of the Bible. The Catholics believed that only clergy could correctly interpret the scriptures; they did that because a simple interpretation of God's word would lead many to conclude that the Catholic religion is based on lies and misgivings.
However, the Catholics knew better than to change the Bible. It is too sacred to be changed, and if anyone in the public was told about the Bible being changed, people would leave in droves. It would only take one person objecting to changing the Bible to start a panic among the lay people, which would cause them to leave the Catholic church. Also, see Rev. 22:18-19. God would provide a way for His word to withstand ages of attacks.
Catholics contradict the Bible very much, but they get around there contradictions by saying that god communicates directly with the pope. If God does that, then if He wants to change His word, the pope would tell us what God wanted changed. The Catholics say the pope's word is just the has as much authority as the Bible. Therefore, if any of their wicked doctrines contradicts God's written word, the Bible, it is OK because God's spoken word, by the pope, has revealed a modern truth and replaced the antiquated scriptures.
However, this is debased in its thinking. The New Testament talks nowhere about a pope, never about clergy, never about the Vatican, and because we find no promise of these anywhere, we can safely assume God has never set up the form of government in the catholic church. Gal. 1:8

Time to get rid of those Chick Publications. The more you read the more ignorant you get. The Catholic Church was alive and well for over two centuries before Constantine was born. Read a little history. There were no Christian Bibles to burn at the time of Constantine because the Catholic Church didn't define the Canon of Scripture until well after Constantine's death. For more than a thousand years after that date, the only Christian Bibles that existed were those laboriously hand-lettered by Catholic monks in Catholic monasteries. When the printing press was finally invented, the Bible was the first book printed by its inventor, Guttenberg, a Catholic. Isn't it silly that the thousands of conflicting denominations of Protestantism, which can't agree with one another on a single point of doctrinal belief, feel qualified to criticise the Church which gave us the Bible in the first place, and taught it in unity and truth for 1,200 years before Protestantism was spawned? And isn't it silly to think that the Bible, which was compiled by the Catholic Church for its own use, could possibly contain anything contrary to Catholic teaching? I can just picture the bishops of the Catholic Church gathering in Council at Carthage at the end of the 4th Century, studying the various texts that had been presented, and then saying, "This particular text contradicts the teaching of our Church, but what the hell, let's put it in our book anyway".

I am afraid that you know little abot Church History or the history of the Bible. Constantine actually was the first one to order(at government expense) the copying of the Bible and had at least 50made.
The Catholic monks spent their lives copying the Bible and you have Catholic and Orthodox monks to thank that you have a Bible at all.
The Catholic Church sponsored translating the bible (Vetus Itala,Vulgate,Sts Cyrila nd Methodius) and there were Catholic vernacular German translations of the Bible before Luther. Today the Catholic Church sponsors almost innumerable Bible translations and publications.

Satan has tried to destroy the word of God and failed, there is no way the catholics would be able to destroy his word. But, catholics have managed to change laws that God set down for us, like the Sabbath; which they changed from the seventh day to the first day of the week; pagan holidays; such as christmas, halloween, thanksgiving, easter, etc.
Daniel speaks of this in the bible; there will be those that will try to changs God's laws, about the great whore that sits on seven mountains, and the beast that rises up, which is the roman catholic church.
Constantine or catholic monks didn't write the books of the bible, God had the prophets and the disciples to write the books of the bible.
God warns us of the rise of the roman catholic church, that they will try to change God's word and his laws.
One of the things he warned us of was, "Call no man father upon the earth, for one is your father which is in heaven." Matthew 23:9
Read Daniel, where he talks about all this happening. Constantine had the Sabbath day changed from the seventh day of the week, to the first day of the week.
Read Genesis 1:1, through 2:3 and the bible will tell you which day is the seventh, then look at the calendar. God said, "Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy."
I know more about God's word than you think I do.
I have God to thank for the bible, not roman catholics.
Read the world history about constantine and the roman catholic church, they had thousands of jews killed, because the jews wouldn't obey the catholic church and switch from the seventh day of the week, to keep the Sabbath on the first day of the week.

None of that is true.
Catholicism does not contradict the Bible. Nothing Catholics do goes against scripture. Not everything we do is written in the Bible, but nothing contradicts scripture in any way.
