Well, it's nearer today than it was yesterday. But, if you are keeping up on the news, it is amazing how many pieces of the end-times puzzle are coming together quickly.

Daniel 2 & 7
Ezekiel 38 & 39
Micah 4
Zecharaiah
Obadiah
Matthew 24
Luke 21
2 Timothy 3:1-5
2 Peter 3:1-17

yes. this generation. besides the obvious increase of evil etc...how do we know? what did jesus say?

you shall see signs of the end of the age, earthquakes, famines, pestlience, wars and rumors of wars, but the END IS NOT YET!!!! NOW LEARN A parable of the fig tree, when it puts forth leaves you KNOW That summer/harvest is nigh, THIS GENERATION SHALL NOT PASS Til all is fulfilled.....

who or what is the fig tree? Israel as documented in Jeremiah 24:2...
when was Israel/Fig Tree planted? 1948. So the generation that saw that event won't pass. times and seasons we can and do know but a day or hour we cannot.

tick tock says the prophecy clock. also as pointed out below the suntelia aeon happens in december 2012. times and seaons and signs in the heavens baby! woo hoo!

The Milky Way Galaxy is the inspiration for the symbol of the Ouroboros. Myth refers to a serpent of light residing in the heavens. The Milky Way is this serpent, and viewed at galactic central point near Sagittarius, this serpent eats its own tail. The Milky Way galaxy keeps a great time cycle that ends in catastrophic change. The sign of the Suntelia Aion is the sun rising out of the mouth of the ouroboros, which will occur on the solstice December 2012 - which links with the Mayan Calendar as a symbolic date for the clse our our reality - virtual reality program - Quetzalcoatl - and escalating Earth changes in the Ring of Fire. The Greeks called this End of the Age the Suntelia Aion. Ancient historians and especially Plato referred to a cycle of catastrophe at the End of the Age. The AION was symbolized by the Ouroboros.

For some the end is always near and for others it's never soon enough. I hope I can still watch it on CNN.

1 Peter 4:7

" But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore of sound mind, and be sober unto prayer: "

"will it happen anytime soon?"-- There are signs. Read Book of Matthew, the whole of Chapter 24.

Yes, I do think it is near, but the Bible says God is the only one that knows the exact time. Many of the propechies have already been fufilled. I would be aware and watching.

in december 21, 2012, its going to be the end of a 5000 year era, not the world. its going to be a fresh beginning for earth and the universe. its also the last day in the Mayan calendar.

Yes, but NEAR is an enigma. God does not lend Himself to a 24 hour clock and therefore, near could be in the next hundred years. According to the Bible, we are not far due to the current events.
