I cannot find any evidence that any of the chruches that Paul was mentoring during the beginnings of the church, that had anything to do with Peter.

My question is, How can Peter be the first Pope and also the leader of the only church in existance until the time of the Protests if he never even knew about the churches that Paul was mentoring.

This is a bit complicated, but important to me. I do not want to be involved with any organization that goes against the bible and I need to find in the bible where it states that the Catholic church is indeed the first and only church.

Somewhere, there should be a verse or a place that ties all the apostles together under the authority of Peter. I can only find verses that support that they were all under the authoity of Jesus Christ.

Do they only live within the confines of temples and their own communities? Or do you find practising Buddhists in every walk of life? If you are a Buddhist in a country like Vietnam or Thailand, do you have to be part of an actual movement, or not? I have asked similar questions but if people only respond with website addresses, it is sometimes hard to find any specific answers.

If we, as a society, decided to teach our children insanely improbable "truths" about the world, do you think they would believe them?

I always see christians saying that they are happy about it. I assume you mean grateful. Personally it would cause me deep sadness if anyone had to die for me. I don't believe Jesus died for me but it still makes me very sad that he was killed for his beliefs and teachings...

I rarely go to church but I sincerly believe in God and I love Him and Jesus Christ. I try my hardest to follow the ways of Christ and when I dont I pray and ask for forgiveness. I dont confess at church but i do aks God for forgiveness in my prayers. I pray every night and thank God and Christ for all that they have given me and when I do forget to pray, I pray and ask for forgiveness for not praying. I am also baptised. I love God and Jesus Christ but I am afraid that since I dont go to Church i will go to hell. I do try to go to Church when I can.

And what about the other 603 commandments? Are they to be ignored? Did Jesus usurp only the other 603 or all 613 which includes the first 10 most people refer to? If the first ten are still in force why not the other 603?
Exactly which version and which 10 do people want posted all over the place? Just the first 10 in the protestant version?

A sin is a sin. It will always be a sin in the eyes of God right? Getting a divorce was a sin to Catholics, but now it isn't if you pay some money and take a class. This is just one example from one religion.

If you change the way God thinks to suit your own needs, aren't you proving that he does not exist? That he is merely the tool of men to control the masses?

If theists are going to have any chance to get a skeptical, critical atheist to suddenly believe in some god, the first step must obviously be to have a coherent, understandable definition of the subject being debated. What is this "god" thing? When people use the word "god," what exactly are they trying to refer to "out there"? Without a coherent, understandable definition it will be impossible to discuss the matter in a substantive and sensible manner. We have to know what we are talking about before we can get anywhere in our conversation.

This, however, is a very difficult task for theists. It's not that they are lacking in labels and characteristics to attribute to their gods, it's just that so many of these characteristics contradict each other. To put it simply, not all of these characteristics can be true because one cancels out the other out or a combination of two (or more) leads to a logically impossible situation.

One answer would be the 15th Century Christian practice of impaling 'heretics' on a stake These people were impaled through the anus and out through the mouth. Imagine the agony. Sometimes they could live like that for hours.

I am much more grateful to these early heretics for dying for what they believed in, than for any messiah dying on a cross for "my sins". The arrogance involved in this latter scenario is truly appalling.

Why, if Peter is the first Pope, are we to fall at the feet of the pope and kiss his feet and worship him?
This seems against what the first pope taught, according to the bible anyway.

I know I am not supposed to read the bible on my own, but I did, so now I need this explained to me.
